Beautiful waterfall and forestry. However we love the beach and often go cold dipping there, or walk the coast and dip in Helens bay. You will love this place. It also has amazing food at Woodlands cafe.

This is a wonderful green space welcoming to all with beautiful small sand and shingle beaches on the shore of Belfast Lough. The Park is welcoming to dogs and there are places to get water if needed. The restaurant cafe and toilet facilities in the Welcome centre are clean and pleasant to use. On a sunny day the terrace outside the cafe is a perfect place to have a cup of coffee. There are many walks lined up on the maps around the centre and the walk along the beach is amazing definitely worth the trip out there for a full day.

Lovely park, great big walk with the dog. It has a lovely little cafe and nice, clean toilets. Most sunny days you can also find an ice cream van near the beach! You can choose to walk several different routes, woods or beach or a mixture of both.

Visited 30/12/2024, as you can see from the map picture attached to the review there is lots of parking sites across the country park. Once you park up you can then access the country park and its various pathways which take in the scenery and features. The pathways are accessible and family friendly. If you go onto the sand areas there is both firm sand and the soft sand, which can be sloppy for younger kids. The sand is covered in areas with seaweed and the areas of sand are generally/mostly clean and tidy, on my particular visit I only came across two broken pieces of glass bottles so do be careful with kids/pets etc. I do recommend you visit this country park if you’re able to get to it as it’s worth the walk, as we ended up doing about 4.6km in total but you can do a lot more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Easy walks in the woods or on the beach. Plenty of car parking. Very popular with dog walkers all year round and plenty of bins for waste. Dogs very often off the lead. Paths are well maintained but some can be muddy in winter. Very busy on warmer summer days. Opening hours are very restricted. Ridiculous that the gate to main car parks not open before 9am

I was pleasantly surprised by the supreme quality of everything we ate at the cafe here. I was not expecting that at a park. Very peaceful, friendly guests, and great trails leading back to a waterfall.

Great spot. Lovely walk along the seafront and great camping location for the Scouts. Cafe and toilets at found at the centre and the food isn’t bad. Hard to park during sunny days so best to avoid unless you’re early or really late. One way system is a nightmare to navigate at night - absolute nightmare.

Nice spot for a day on the beach with the kids or the dog. The coastal path goes right down to Bangor. Wee cafe in the carpark is handy for a coffee. Can get very busy in good weather.

Most people tend to walk towards the beach area when they arrive at Crawfordsburn Park but there is so much to see within the country park forest area especially during autumn time. Plenty of paths and walks to suit all ages and fitness levels. And the big bonus is the great Cafe for a well earned cuppa or meal afterwards.
