   Quiet, natural glen filled with birdsong and babbling Brooks and waterfalls. And midges. Opens on to sea and the sound of waves on the beach.

   A small wooded area with limited parking and football pitch. Couple of nice waterfalls but the park needs a bit of maintenance. A good option to start the coastal path walk.

   I have to say, this is one of my favourite spots in Bangor. Since I was a kid, I’ve been coming down here. The lovely Forrest and walkway that leads all the way down to the shore front is calm and peaceful. I love that it lands you on the coastal path and you can either return into Bangor or go out left towards crawfordsburn. It is certainly one of this towns highlights and a hidden gem as it’s a blink and you’ll miss it turn off on the main road.

   Strickies never changes but could do with some maintenance of the walkways,they look ro be doibg some rewilding of what was the football pitch ,ive a feeling the folks with the fancy houses dont like kids playing football behind their houses

   A great way to access the coastal path if you get off the train at Bangor West. The glen is a maze of tiny paths leading down to the sea, full of unexpected vistas among a small but beautiful patch of natural woodland.

   Beautiful hidden gem of streams and paths, bridges and waterfalls with a larger open area with goal posts (not level so never busy but great for a kick about), and leading down to the amazing North Down Coastal Path at Smelt Mill Bay with rocky beaches and inlets. Turn left and walk past Carnalea golf course towards Crawfordsburn Country park and Helen's Bay and their amazing beaches and venture further afield towards Holywood and Belfast. Or turn right towards beautiful Bangor, stopping at Pickie Park before venturing on towards the amazing beach at Ballyholme with Groomsport and Donaghadee beyond. This hidden gem exists in the middle of a little bit of heaven, a small car park off the Bryansburn Road with room for only a dozen or so cars keeps it quiet and serene but there is easy access all along the North Down Coastal Path with Bangor West train station only 10 mins walk away for those using public transport.

   A great open space and woodland walk leading to the beautiful coastal path. Idea for quite time or fun with the children. A large grass area in front of the car park is perfect for kicking a ball about, flying a kite or a summers day picnic.
