We felt really welcomed and safe. There was a family atmosphere on board and every consideration was taken to ensure our wellbeing and comfort. Capns Keith and Jake and crew Cam and Emily, were extremely knowledgeable and informative about the local wildlife and it was good to hear about the local coastline and history too. We were very honoured to meet them and feel lucky and grateful to have had this wonderful opportunity. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and were thrilled to see so many seals, porpoises and dolphins and a minke whale too! Seabird sightings were numerous and particularly exciting for Kosmo as he was hoping to see Shearwaters. We saw Great Skua, as well as Gannets, Razorbills and Kittywakes (this is not an exhaustive list!) and we were not expecting to see Chough, which was an extra treat! We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the boat and will definitely book again. It was extremely straightforward and easy to make the booking and lovely Lauren in the office, was helpful and communicative throughout. Thoroughly recommended. Photos to follow! Liz and Kosmo D

Captain Keith delivered an informative tour. Josh was also very helpful. There is no guarantee that you will see any whales and that is exactly what happened to us. However, owing to Keith’s expertise we did find ourselves in amongst a pod of about 150 dolphins. Absolutely brilliant. I would definitely go again.

We had a great 3 hour cruise. It went so quickly. Captain Keith and Skipper Jake were great!!! Knowledgeable and friendly the time flew by. As did the dolphins. Lots to see today. Birds/gulls diving for their fish dinner, seals being curious and so many dolphins!

I have been a customer of AK Wildlife Cruises for many years now, and am never disappointed with the service and experience that they deliver. The boat is comfortable and well appointed, and is a stable viewing platform for sightings and photography. All of the crew are deeply passionate about the wildlife of Cornwall, and have a deep desire to share this with their customers. I absolutely love that they are still excited about seeing something special or unusual, and this excitement absolutely flows onto the passengers. Of course this is a wildlife cruise, and the wildlife may well have their own plans for the day, and so can never be guaranteed to be found. But I do believe that everything that can be done to increase your chances of finding and observing the wildlife is delivered without fail by the crew. Additionally this is a trip on a boat, so beholden to the weather conditions, but their choice of sheltered Falmouth as a location means that the chances of the weather impacting your trip are as minimised as they can be. We have tried other organisations trips, both in Cornwall and further afield, but have found for all round service, quality of viewing, attention to detail, and friendliness AK Wildlife Cruises are amongst the very best. I totally recommend AK Wildlife Cruises – I genuinely believe that like us you will keep returning.

Honestly amazing. We did the three hour trip today (12 Aug “The Burfords”) and we were so lucky to see dolphins and a baby minke whale in the bay. The captain was so warm and welcoming and the crew were so knowledgeable and they all showed so much respect for the animals doing everything on their terms. The wildlife we have in the UK is truly amazing and I would recommend anyone who is in Cornwall to use AK Wildlife Cruises go and explore. Thank you again and hopefully we will see you again soon!

At first it seems a little pricey, but after the trip we are already thinking about going again next year when they have their new Catamaran. An amazing experience. We were all given good advice on what to look out for through our binoculars (take your own or hire a pair) and info about the local waters and animals. We saw gannets and gulls on the way out, then within an hour we were surrounded by bottlenose dolphins, including some very young calves. Captain Keith and Gabby made sure everyone knew where to look and that each person had a chance to stand on the front of the boat to see them right underneath you. They were so close it was unbelievable, we could hear them squeaking to each other. Spent some decent time with several pods then left them to move on at their own pace so it didn't feel like we were bothering them. On return to shore we saw some porpoises and a seal having a nap. The Captain really seems to care about the sea life which is lovely. The four of us had a brilliant day, we would definitely recommend!! As always with this type of trip you are subject to the weather. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day with the calmest sea, we didn't need our waterproofs at all, so even if we hadn't seen any dolphins it would have been a lovely boat trip.

Genuinely one of the best experiences of my life. Captain Keith is clearly very passionate & knowledgeable about the local wildlife and conservation as was Sam who was volunteering as part of their studies. Both Captain Keith and Sam made everyone feel very welcome aboard and safe. In terms of wildlife spotting - WOW! We came really close to seals, we had a pod of Harbour Porpoises to the side of the boat, saw rare sea birds and more common ones (the Gannets were particularly striking) , different species of jellyfish and so many pods of dolphins. Some in the distance, some swimming along the front of the boat, some at the side - we saw multiple dolphin calves swimming alongside the boat with their mothers. They were so close we could hear their clicks and squeaks. Captain Keith and Sam made sure everyone on the trip (7 of us on total) got equal opportunity to view wildlife from the bow. It was truly an amazing experience and one I’ll never forget. I feel very privileged to have seen such an abundance of wildlife in its natural habitat in such stunning surroundings.

Best wildlife cruises I've ever done, expertly led by Captain Keith and his team. Whether you get lucky and see lots of unusual wildlife (eg a super pod of >200 dolphins!) or a quieter day when it's mostly seals and seabirds, it's a fabulous experience. Wonderful mix of seafaring, geography and wildlife expertise, and all delivered with friendly good humour. Not to be missed!

Wonderful afternoon on the water with Captain Keith and the legend that is Josh! Perseverance rewarded with the most amazing pod of dolphins, some very inquisitive seals and great glimpses of porpoises. Highly recommend this to anyone in or visiting the area, if we could give a hundred stars we would!
