Hired an igloo for a family Christmas get together - it was brilliant. Quiet, cosy and yet full of atmosphere. Lots of Xmas trees around the igloos, and having a 'real fire' Christmas scene on the giant screen really added to it. The drinks, service and food were all excellent - between the 6 of us we ordered a wide range of dishes, with everyone saying that every dish was a winner. Also a big shout out to 'Slim', our server, who was very attentive, friendly and shared a lot of banter. I think eating out has gone up in price over the last few years, but I don't think Binks Yard is overpriced - it's very similar to our local pub.

Big group of us came in last Wednesday. Despite the bar and restaurant being full we were welcomed and sat promptly. The food came at a reasonable time too. What really stood out however was who we assume is the manager. She was so fluid in the restaurant bar and igloo pods outside our whole table noticed and were mesmerised at her service skills. We never got to mentioned it but I’m sure this review helps She took our food and drinks order without no pen or iPad, made us laugh and smile constantly and managed to clear all our plates (10+ people) in one go. All boxes checked, we had a great time yet again. Thank you Bink Yard

Christmas food, atmosphere and service was brilliant. Everyone who looked after us was fantastic and would make us come back. Emmanuel was great. We can’t believe how much the Prosecco has gone up though. £38 for a bottle! Outrageous! Last year we paid £24. The igloos are fantastic but the price for the bottles really disappointing.

We went to Binks for bottomless brunch yesterday! It was absolutely fantastic! Prosecco and cocktails never stopped coming. The pizza was very good and plenty of it. Such a brilliant atmosphere. A Big shout out to Emanuel, Kara and Sally for looking after us so well. Great service. X

Food: The food was disappointing, especially for the cost. The buffalo mac and cheese had no flavour of cheese or blue cheese, it was just overly spicy. The loaded Mexican fries contained only a dollop of guacamole and maybe 3 slices of jalapeno so weren't very loaded. We ordered a pint of bitter but got a pint of lager. Service: No-one welcomed us into the restaurant or seated us or said goodbye when we left. No-one checked on us to see how the food was or to ask if we needed anything extra like sauces etc. The service was slow. Atmosphere: Despite having booked in advanced, we were seated for dinner between groups of people in the pub out for work drinks so it was quite noisy and not the best date night atmosphere. Overall, an expensive evening with disappointing food, poor and slow service and an uninviting dining atmosphere.

Visited for Taco and Tequila Wednesdays (1st and 3rd of the month) where it's 25% off. Margaritas were great. We tried all varieties of the tacos, all were delicious - some of the best I've had - though they are small so I'd recommend over ordering. Sticky toffee pudding was perfectly gooey. Atmosphere was good, great aroma and buzz about the place, very clean. Unfortunately there was a mix up with our drinks (I won't go into detail as I don't want to embarrass the staff member, they did apologise and take it off the bill, but it did put a dampener on our evening). That being said, Kieron made sure everything was rectified and was very friendly and professional. Looking forward to coming back for more tasty food soon.

I had heard about the opening of the Island Quarter and I went for lunch at Binks Yard. We were immediately greeted by very welcoming , polite and friendly staff member .The place is beautiful with modern decoration and you can have a view next to the canal . There was a variety of drinks on the menu and the tacos were pretty good . Wonderful environment and an amazing place to go for drinks and food in Nottingham . I would definitely recommend it.

Visited Sunday 13th November for the first time, when entering the building it was noticeable it was warm, a very big positive, however, once we had ordered our meal unfortunately it appeared either the staff were hot or the air-conditioning automatically kicked in, this made our first experience very uncomfortable. These businesses especially in the current climate need to think of the paying customers, and not make the building feel like an igloo. We will return again as the service, food, clean toilets installed confidence in the quality of this establishment, they just need to be aware of the comfort of their clients.

Great new venue in Notts (Nov 2022). Split between an outdoor stage and terrace, an indoor bar area, and tables for dinner service - the food is very good, well presented and reasonably priced. Dogs allowed in the bar area too - great call!
