   Such a fabulous experience and looking forward to returning in the near future. I have several allergies and Curtis was amazing in asking me about them, showing me all ingredients on the iPad, didn’t make me feel a nuisance but instead like a valued customer. He even fetched a glass straight from the dishwasher! Charlotte was so helpful to me. I also have multiple mobility issues and nothing was too much trouble for her-from moving our booked table to one nearer to bar, carvery and the toilets to making a list of all available items on the carvery to joining the queue with my Mum so we had our meals at the same time-even bringing a jug of gravy and pot of cranberry sauce. Claire cleared our table as soon as we let her know we had a pudding paid for. Just chatting with her, we told her how amazing the staff were. The chef even brought my pudding out with a little green flag in it to show I had allergies. The food was as lovely as the service so it’s a 10/10 from nyseif and my Mum who had treated me.

   I had been recommended this place so thought give it a try today Sunday, 16th November. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The carvery was very nice and tasty. My partner had lasagne which he really enjoyed. Reasonable prices. Just three minor complaints. Firstly, The carvery food was luke warm. Secondly, over on the gravy stand there were three big pots BUT no lables to say what was in the gravy. To some this may not be that important but I am allergic to onions so if one was onion gravy that would be very bad for me. Thirdly, it is just a smidge too dark in there. I like to see what what I am eating.

   The carvery was delicious, with the best gammon and turkey I've tasted in a long time. So tender and great flavours too. The yorkshire puds were really nice also! It was all accompanied by a substantial range of veg options - red cabbage, root veg mash, sprouts, carrots, peas etc, etc. If there was one criticism I would say the veg accompaniments weren't really quite hot enough, so once we had sat down and began to eat, they were rather cold. The staff were so welcoming and friendly which totally enhanced our visit. Thank you!

   Excellent pub with great value meals. The beer choice is average, but the quality of what they serve is great. The staff are very friendly and the ambience is very nice and relaxing. Update: Visited again when in the area 9 months later and the food price and quality are still excellent (especially with the daily offers). Drink choice hasn't altered so still the basic corporate branded beers and ciders on the bar and in the fridges, good enough to wash your food down with though.

   Twice ive ordered through uber. 1st time half my items where missing and i received a partial refund. I decided to try again and yet again items missing. Couldn't get a refund through uber and the place itself told me the contract was with uber. First meal barely any beans only half the items in both breakfasts. Second meal no chips for two meals, missing items from my carvery and no drink i ordered. Absolutely shocking place. Foolishly i ordered again, 3rd time soggy due to packing of items.

   I had a lovely carvery. They have real mash, not smash like some places and the beef was nice and tender. Highly recommend. I also had a sticky toffee pudding but I forgot to take a picture, this is my favourite pud so couldn't wait to dig in. It didn't disappoint. I swapped the custard to vanilla ice cream.
