I truly can’t speak highly enough of this nursing home and I am in such admiration at the work that they do. They show such love, care and kindness to their residents even when many residents are extremely challenging. It is certainly not a job I could undertake. I give my thanks and gratitude for all that they do for all residents.
This care home is really the best about. My mother has been there for nearly a year.?The care she receives is so good and we are truly happy with it, we had a very bad experience with another local care home, my mum was in a bad way and had to spend some time in hospital with bed sores and other concerns, we moved her here. She is like different person now, no sores, clean and well feed. The staff are fantastic nothing is too much trouble for them. If you are looking for a good quality care home for your loved one please visit and see for your self.
Posted on behalf of my mum, Sylvia: 'My husband, who has dementia, is very well looked after in the home by the friendly and caring staff with all his needs catered for. The meals are excellent and his room is clean and comfortable. I feel very welcomed when I visit and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Whenever any of the family visit, he is always happy and in good spirits.'
What a wonderful care home, with the most wonderful staff, Best decision we made for our nan, after an awful experience in a previous care home finding and trusting a new one felt impossible! Then we found here! You have nursed our nan back to health and gave us more precious time with her, and most importantly she is happy! I go to sleep at night knowing she is being well looked after by the incredible staff that work tirelessly to care for all the residents. Beautifully home cooked meals have helped nan to gain weight, (which had been declining for some time) we have seen nothing but care, compassion and respect from this home, we looked around at least 10 other homes and this one just felt right, every need of hers has been met and she has just gone from strength to strength, it feels like home from home and the staff feel like family to us now. GHC No amount of stars would be enough for what you have done for nan and our family , having this precious time with her, just been able to be her family and enjoying our time together.
Giltbrook care home is the worst home to work or to bring in people for care as the management do not care. Imagine using staffs to work without payment. Since September 2022 till date they never paid my Colleagues and I. They made me work hours I never wanted and they never paid for it. they are modern day slavers, they blocked me from all form of contact to them, bullied me when I said i will report to the police. Wicked people. They discriminate, they are mean towards the carers. The owners name is JO, the managers name is SATI, both are partners in crime!!
Utterly disgusted with the experience I've received, called to speak with my grandmar, apparently no reception for her to speak to me, or a different excuse each time family call, and then the carer had the audacity to slate my mum thinking they had ended the telephone call with me, absolutely no respect for the caring family's of the residents. Makes me wonder what actually goes on behind closed doors.
This carehome is nothing but fraud. They use the modern day slavery method. Both the owner J and the management S, all of them are fraud. I and other carers worked for them more than 40 hours since last year September 2022 and yet they did not pay our wages. Made us sign contracts and did not pay. We went to the office to ask what is going on? All they did was send us out. Blocked our number so we couldn't call or message them. Very bad carehome. I hope they get investigated by CQC.
My husband Roger was in this nursing home for 4 weeks, they were told he was aggressive but said it comes with dimentia & they could deal with it. Then he had a problem with his INR Count & should have been given medication to correct the problem but instead they sent him to QMC in Nottingham & told them they would not have him back at the home, so he was virtually homeless. Nothing was mentioned to me & I was informed by the nursing staff at QMC. It would have been correct procedure to inform me & not get the hospital to tell me. He spent 10 days in QMC till we found him another home. The staff were nice & food was good but I wouldn’t recommend this nursing home as a result of the outcome as I think it was not the correct procedure. I should have been told by them face to face so we could resolve the matter
New manager! New faces, lots of new changes , Amazing turn around in the last 6 months. New CQC report published with all the new changes. Very happy with all the staff and management at Giltbrook carehome and the new changes. Pop in to see yourself.
