“We moved our daughter from another nursery to Stepping Stones just after her first birthday. Tomorrow she starts reception at the local primary school, so it's a big milestone for all of us! From the moment we first visited this family-run nursery, we knew our daughter would be taken care of and she settled very quickly. The staff work incredibly hard and are invested in the children's wellbeing and development. Her language skills and social confidence have come on leaps and bounds. Every milestone has been handled with care and attentiveness, the team were always there to offer additional support and advice, addressing any worries we had as first time parents (also from the 'lockdown' era!). Our daughter has absolutely loved engaging with trips to the local parks, visits from the emergency services, and regular yoga classes. The meals are of a very high standard, security and communication are always very consistent. A brilliant nursery, highly recommended.”

“Went to Wagamama in Notts today with my friend for lunch. Everything was top notch. The food was delicious. I had the fried greens, ebi katsu, and chicken katsu curry, my friend had the duck gyoza and prawn curry. We had a beer and a cocktail. The food arrived hot and fresh, yummy! Thankyou chefs. The highlight of our stay were the staff. We were greeted by the hostess and taken to our table of choice, served by another friendly young chap, but there's one staff memeber who stood out above all others, anywhere I've ever been to and thats a young lady named Sophie. Studying at university who works to earn her spending money. She was a delight, a credit to Wagamama. She was so kind and friendly, so ambitious and I see a great life ahead for her. I think anything she does, she will do it well. Thanks for the wonderful service Sophie, you were the shining light above all others today, and made our rare luncheon really special. Cheers from Shirley and Vannessa, the 2 women who nearly talked you to death:-)”

“I like Premier Inns as you know where you’re at with them. Good value, clean and nice. The evening staff on this particular one went above and beyond on accommodating our kids. They gave us activity packs on arrival and some goody bags during dinner. Great service.”

“We had fantastic help and service from Edwina when we bought our travel system. She even remembered my parents going in to look at the one we wanted! There was a great deal on an ex-display model and she even offered to book an appointment with my parents to try it at a different time, so they didn't feel they'd missed out. The staff really understand how excited people are to make some of the big purchases and Edwina went out of her way to spend time with us and make it special. Huge thank you.”

“We stayed here for 2 nights, with a Guide Dog for the Blind puppy, the room we were given was very roomy and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating of our pup and all staff were friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Dee in the breakfast room, she was so helpful and informative of all the ooptions on the breakfast menu. The cost of the room and the additional breakfast were very reasonable. Plenty of parking and easy access to Nottingham centre.”

“I bought a power bank from Argos in Ilford, London, and came to this store for a replacement. Mrs. Bec was very kind and friendly. She did her job very well and replaced the power bank quickly.”

“My little boy has been attending since he was nine months old during Covid. I'm so happy to have found a nursery that nurtures and encourages development in all of the children. My little boy always comes home with a smile on his face and is excited to tell us what he has been up to. Since being a baby, he's made wonderful relationships with multiple members of staff. Ashleigh in the preschool room is incredible and always has time to talk about what's going on in the nursery that day. My little boy also had a very close bond with Gemma when he was in toddlers, and still loves to talk to her now about all sorts of things, having not been in toddlers for almost a year now! There are so many other amazing staff members too, I could list them all but I'd be here a while! It's very easy to talk to any members of staff about any issues or questions you have, and they're always happy to help. Communication with parents is done via the monthly newsletter, as well as the text messaging service, which are really helpful for reminders or information. Overall I would recommend Busy Bees to anyone considering nursery settings!”

“Over recent years, I’ve made a number of purchases from the shop. The owner’s and staff are lovely and it’s great to see a family run business. The toys are of great quality - made to last. There are a mix of toy styles for all age groups. I especially like the hand puppets, dolls and books. There’s a good range of sensory toys as well.”

“We started baby sparks when my little one was 6 weeks old, this little hour class, once a week honestly changed my maternity leave around in the best way possible. Sparky Kat welcomed us with open arms and a judgement free, fun space where my little girl has developed so amazingly. She now recognises the songs, the maracas, the “silly’s!” and the best part of it all, we have made some amazing friends. Baby sparks, put simply is both of our favourite hour of the week.”

“Kumon is the best Maths and English program to help children make their foundation strong enough for secondary school. My son has been attending the muster road Kumon branch since 2019 and he has made a lot of progress since then. Naheed pays attention to each and every child and gives honest feedback about their progress. She guides you and is happy to help in every which way possible to support your child. I am happy that I chose Kumon West Bridgford for my son.”

“My 3 year old has been going since he was 11 months and I now send my 1 year old as well. I would always recommend this nursery, the staff are amazing both my children come home happy, cared for and my oldest always talks about the amazing things he has done. The reason I chose this nursery is it felt like a home not a just a boring building to place a child, it is so cared for and looked after. The range of activities my children have both done has supported their development and they learn so much every day. It makes me so happy as a parent who has to go to work to leave them somewhere I know the staff care and look after them so well. Every single one of the workers and owners have always been so supportive, they are amazing”

“We were recommended St Nicholas Day Nursery by a number of people on our estate. When contacting multiple nurseries, St Nicholas’ were the only ones to respond. We were invited for a tour and felt at home straight away. The outdoor provision has been revamped throughout the year and our son always talks about how amazing it is and how his ‘teachers’ are his bestfriends. The staff are supportive, loving and caring. I would highly recommend St Nicholas’ to anyone within the local area! Thank you for the time you have spent with our son, you’ve definitely made him primary school ready.”

“Stay and play at alf&Co on a Tuesday has honestly been the highlight of our week on maternity leave. Kirby and her team are the nicest friendliest people and the whole atmosphere is so lovely. The variety of toys is excellent and they always make sure there are toys for each age group. Having a hot drink included too is such a nice touch. Could not recommend it more. And being on mapperley top there are loads of places to go for lunch after with the other mums and dads. The shop too is gorgeous and we've bought some lovely toys and clothes that are such great quality. If you want a group to go to with baby/toddlers this one is fab. Don't be nervous about going on your own, you'll make friends. It's so relaxed and everyone is lovely. They also have lots of extras like a photographer some weeks, sleep experts another and a pottery lady for some lovely baby footprint Xmas presents. I'm so sad to be going back to work and will really miss this. Iris has LOVED it! Thank you Kirby and Rebecca, you'll never know how much this session helps mums get out of the house and get some much needed interaction. Thank you! Xxx”

We got lucky and got a seat straight away, but I'd definitely recommend reserving in advance. The staff were really friendly and helpful”

“It's a perfect place to share with other mothers and children. The under 1s session is absolutely adorable. You find here a lot of support at all times. Babes on Friday, it's such a supportive group as well. I deffo recommend it if you only have 1 child. Staff is brilliant. You can find vitamins for your child as well. This is a treasure place and I am so happy that i am still enjoying with my little one.”

“My daughter loves going here and even when she first started and was a little anxious the staff were very helpful at taking her from me and let me know 5 minutes later that she had calmed down and was playing happily, they do lots of activities like going to walks, cooking ect and also have lots of toys to play with. I would recommend this nursery to people in the community that want their children to make friends with children they will eventually go to school with. The children get a drink and a snack whilst there and you can download an app and the staff will let you know if they ate and drank it all or not and will also keep you informed of any upcoming activities”

“Great big space for children to enjoy. Some of the furniture is garden furniture which is a great little detail for mum’s who are breastfeeding or just in general for people wanting a comfier spot. Good food at a reasonable cost too”

“What a great shop. Always having a look around to see what offers they have on great films or even the odd CD. I even love the Harry Potter colouring book I got from here too. Always nice and friendly staff that are always very happy to help at anytime A***** for shopping experience”
