Went to Wagamama in Notts today with my friend for lunch. Everything was top notch. The food was delicious. I had the fried greens, ebi katsu, and chicken katsu curry, my friend had the duck gyoza and prawn curry. We had a beer and a cocktail. The food arrived hot and fresh, yummy! Thankyou chefs. The highlight of our stay were the staff. We were greeted by the hostess and taken to our table of choice, served by another friendly young chap, but there's one staff memeber who stood out above all others, anywhere I've ever been to and thats a young lady named Sophie. Studying at university who works to earn her spending money. She was a delight, a credit to Wagamama. She was so kind and friendly, so ambitious and I see a great life ahead for her. I think anything she does, she will do it well. Thanks for the wonderful service Sophie, you were the shining light above all others today, and made our rare luncheon really special. Cheers from Shirley and Vannessa, the 2 women who nearly talked you to death:-)

Consistent Wagamama in Nottingham. Ramen and katsu arrive hot and well seasoned, donburi is reliable, and chilli squid is crisp. Service is friendly though waits can build at peak times. Takeaway is steady. Easy, dependable stop.

It was one of those times when I thought to myself, what do I want to eat, I will go with something I know and like, it’s getting late and all that. I was staying in Nottingham for a conference and having arrived the day before, I headed out to get something to eat. I chose Wagamama as I do like the food and the restaurant was relatively close to my hotel as well. I had looked on Google Maps before heading to Nottingham to see what was around, but the few places I looked at were not open on a Monday night. Wagamama was heaving and I had to wait for a table, normally I prefer not to wait, but I did think all I probably would do would be walk around a bit and then end up back at Wagamama. I was a little surprised on how busy it was, this was the end of June on a Monday. All the students would have “gone home” and I would be surprised there would be that many visitors around compared to July or August. After waiting for a short while I was shown to my table. I had missed out on lunch so was quite hungry, so I ordered the chilli squid, pork + panko apple bao buns, and yasai yaki soba. Despite the busyness or the place, it wasn’t too long before my food arrived. The chilli squid, is Wagamama’s iconic crispy fried squid tossed in shichimi spice. served with a chilli + coriander dipping sauce. This was lovely generous portion of crispy squid. They’ve stopped doing the crispy chilli mushrooms which I may have ordered as an alternative. I did think about having the hot honey fried chicken, but went with the squid; I do like the squid and it was nice and tasty. The next dish to arrive was the pork + panko apple bao buns, which was two buns, that contained slow-cooked pork belly with crispy panko-coated apple, sriracha and vegan mayo, topped with coriander. I would usually have the mixed mushroom bao buns, I also thought about trying out the korean barbecue beef, but I liked the sound of the pork and apple buns. The pork was tender and soft, which contrasted well with the crispy apple. My main dish was a regular choice of mine, the yasai yaki soba. This is mushrooms, soba noodles cooked with egg, peppers, beansprouts, onion, pickled ginger, crispy fried onions and sesame seeds. I think it needed more mushrooms. The amount of mushroom in this dish is rather inconsistent when I have this dish, which surprises me. Despite the lack of mushrooms, it was a very tasty dish and I enjoyed it. Overall the food I had was very tasty and rather filling. I don’t think I really should have two side dishes with my main course, but it is hard then to choose just one. Maybe next time I will just have side dishes instead.

A great spot - first timer! Its a great little Asian fusion spot, vegan friendly. It was pleasant - modern, clean. The 4/5 rating was only because the noodle dish was good but nothing I felt I'd not had before, but the app was amazing. Also, the seating benches were tall for a shorter woman. So I had an awkward time of sitting only able to be tip toed to the floor.

We had not been here for some years so thought we give it a go again. The first table we were taking too I had to ask that we be moved as it was filthy so not a great start. Really enjoyed the food although one of the adult portion sizes was a bit small for the price. Staff were very friendly and the food didn’t take too long to come out. Kids loved the fresh smoothie type drinks. Overall we enjoyed it but they could do better with slightly larger pasta portion sizes and a better attention to cleanliness.

By far one of the best Japanese dining experiences we have ever had. Speed of service was rapid. Food quality was outstanding, atmosphere was fantastic. We had 3 courses each just as good as the other. Friendly staff. 10/10.

First time coming to wagamama as a vegan and I can honestly say it made no difference. The selection was near exactly that same for non meat eaters and the food quality and taste was 10/10. We didn't have to wait that long to be seated, maybe 25 minutes but it was really busy. The food came out in good timing.

A decently good place. The ambience is nice, the food is pretty great, but we ordered two ramens, both in rich broth and they gave us one in spicy. That was quite disappointing. Also ordered a couple of drinks, and I wouldn't suggest ordering the pink g&t. the lychee one on the other hand was yum! The staff is nice and friendly, hence 5⭐s for the service. Hoping for a better experience if I decide to revisit in the future.

Enjoyed the food there, tge food was really tasty and delicious. I was disappointed with the jasmine flower tea and ginger -lemongrass one. These were in fact tasteless. We pointed this to the waitress but we had no reaction other than "sorry to hear that". Staff were pleasant, helpful, offered advise about the choice of dishes.
