“My little girl started a couple months ago. The staff have been brilliant, they have spent the time getting to know my daughter and me, couldn’t have found a better nursery for my girl . She has come on loads with her speech, singing and movement.”

“With a P Inn you always know what you get. We were a little disappointed that they didn't have any P Plus rooms. But in the nes it was fine. Room smelt a bit damp when we arrived. But cleared after an hour. The breakfast team were one of the best I habe seen at a P Inn. Super friendly, helpful and efficient. We didn't have a car so cant comment on parking. Location was very central. Easy access to everything. Easy to get Uber taxis.”

“From day one this hotel was just perfect! The location is spot on – right next to the Derbion with fantastic transport links, making it really convenient. The cleanliness throughout the hotel is impeccable, everything feels fresh and well looked after. The staff here are absolutely brilliant – friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The restaurant is top notch nosh, with great food and service to match. A special shout out has to go to both Pat and George for their incredible customer service. They were lovely, chatty, friendly, and nothing was ever too much to ask. They’re a true credit to the team and made my stay extra enjoyable. Can’t recommend this Premier Inn highly enough – I’ll definitely be back!”

“Stayed here for going to a gig in town, clean and comfortable, a short walk or taxi ride to the centre of Derby... staff are lovely, plenty of free parking and a buffet breakfast for £10.75... the scrambled eggs were really good, a good choice of hot and cold food plus there's a bar and the restaurant serves other dishes all day.”

“We had an wonderful stay. The rooms were nice and clean and made up in time for our early check in. Emma was very attentive and very friendly made us feel very welcomed and really appreciate all the help she provided. There was a lot of us and she went out her way to make our stay wonderful! I think the lady who cleaned our rooms was Nina and she was so friendly too the rooms were clean couldn't fault anything. Thank you to you both. Look forward staying again in the future”

“Absolutely amazing service , we needed a hotel for the night last minute due to a awful expereince at our accomodation in Nottingham. We turned up late to reception and the guy went out of his way to get us a room suitable for 3 adults. Nothing was too much trouble and we got a fairly good night's sleep. Staff were amazing , so thank you for coming to our rescue after a awful experience elsewhere”

“Booked this for a group of kids for my step daughters birthday. The team were wonderful in helping us organise it at reasonably short notice, too (with a Groupon voucher also). On the day, they were just lovely, patient (though this looked to have been tested by the end, there was another group also, so honestly I commend their efforts for getting a large group of kids and also a family of 4or5, some of ours arrived late and had to catch up, one was much younger than the rest so needed alme extra guidance etc) friendly and kind. Can't recommend enough, I'm sure we'll be back at some point, each of the kids loved the book-worm they made. Well done and thank you!”

They help you sift out what you don't want whilst not pressuring you in anyway to choose a dress on the day, there and then! They have such a unique mix of dresses for ladies with varying styles! “I highly recommend this place for families with young children! It’s amazing how much fun you can have inside a historic house. Each room had toys and displays that caught my three-year-old twin boys’ attention, and they spent the whole day there! It was raining, so they could play indoors as much as they wanted, which was perfect. It’s even better that National Trust members can visit for free. There are still places we haven’t seen yet, so I’d love to come back someday.”

“Jellybeans has been amazing with my son and my daughter. They have always had a brilliant time, arriving with smiling and coming home full of beans! The staff are just lovely, always there for a chat. Jellybeans has made it much easier with working life, knowing that my children are cared for, loved and all the time learning something new through fun play, makes me one happy mommy.”

“I can not recommend this nursery enough, My two girls started at 5 months old and I was so so nervous about leaving them why they were so little, but the staff put me as ease and made me feel so comfortable in leaving the girls in their care. Now the girls absolutely thrive off nursery and love going in everyday to the exciting activities available. When my girls don’t go to nursery they really miss it. Which really puts my mind at ease that they are having the best time while I work.”

“My daughter has been going to the Carlton Nursery for about 15 months. I have to admit I was on the brink of moving her ... then I met Emily ... and then Jo. What a difference they have made! The staff are brilliant with both the children, and with me as a parent. They’re supportive and nothing is ever too much trouble. I don’t have to worry about being called out of work because they’re too short staffed or there’s something they can’t handle. She has a milk allergy that they’re prepared and equipped to support. This was very severe when she was younger and a real source of anxiety, so finding a nursery that I could trust was very important to me. The nursery itself has had a face lift. The staff are friendly and engaging. My daughter is always coming home with things she’s made or drawn; she literally runs in in a morning and reluctantly comes home in the evening! She has a real bond with a number of the staff, which gives me the confidence that she is getting the care and attention she needs. I honestly can’t recommend this nursery enough.”

“Decent soft play for out 1 and 2 year olds. Our little one enjoyed the ball pit while the oldest was more adventurous. Staff seemed pleasant and polite. The soft play and tables were all clean. Decent entry price. Food and drinks are available.”

“I think that most people know of Matalan and this is a nicely spaced store with a good range of very reasonably priced clothing for all the family. The children's range is very useful as we know how quickly they grow out of clothes before they have had their wear out of them! There is a range of household goods too. The staff are friendly and helpful. In addition there is free parking here for four hours if you want to visit the town centre on your trip !”

“Superb care and educated beyond school intake levels for all, especially for SENCo provision. My nephew attended La Petite Academy for 3 years; and since with their help, has come on leaps and bounds. Being an experienced primary teacher I have to certainly recommend. I watched my nephew not only grow academically but also as a confident young boy. Key workers and management were so helpful with the plan given to my brother for support and even as he moved up to primary gave advice and assistance with the transition which I know can often be traumatic.”

“We turned up on a Sunday lunch with no booking and it was very busy. However after a 20 minute wait we had a table. Used the app to order drinks and food, and then headed to the carvery. There was a 5 minute queue, but we'll worth it as the food was lovely. The deserts looked amazing, but we were too full to sample them”
