The front staff were amazing but I was astonished to hear a member of staff called Mike talking about smoking weed before coming into work and the way he was talking in general was appalling and when asking staff about him I was surprised to hear he was the assistant manager. The rooms were adequate and clean. However the reception staff were very welcoming and couldn’t apologise enough for his poor behaviour.

It is what it is, it doesn't pretend to be anything other than a reasonably priced room. My only criticism of the room is, it's chilly. There's a small plug in electric heater but that's it. There's no hair dryer, so if you are planning on going and happen to have long hair, take one.. From our room on the fourth floor, we had a great view of the Cricket ground.

First room I was given hant been cleaned or prepared, reception allocated me another room no problem. New room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Plus points: FREE Car Park Breakfast was good (and out early too) Indian restaurant underneath Good location and very accessible Negatives: Basic rooms WiFi is chargeable Food Menu is limited (Nandos about a mile away though).

Got a last minute bargain price. Hotel clean. Room showed slight signs of age but pleasant nonetheless. Great view over the cricket ground. Staff were lovely

Stayed here for going to a gig in town, clean and comfortable, a short walk or taxi ride to the centre of Derby... staff are lovely, plenty of free parking and a buffet breakfast for £10.75... the scrambled eggs were really good, a good choice of hot and cold food plus there's a bar and the restaurant serves other dishes all day.

Very good breakfast! A lot of variety. Comfy bed, quiet in the room (the location is far from the main road). Good temperature in the room.

Our section of the second floor of this"hotel" smelt like a cannabis factory leaving 3 of my family with nausea and headaches. Reported to reception 5 times but no action was taken during our stay. During heavy rain water was putting off the roof into the flat roof below making a lot of noise, when we told reception the response was "we'll report it". No apologies or apparently concern as we are not the bread and butter customer working locally with a can in the car park, who apparently have the trip floor reserved for them! Not sure we will go back again.
