Good location with friendly and helpful staff. We had a couple of issues on arrival and they really wanted to help sort things. However, the bathroom doors are ridiculous - completely glass which means light floods into the room if someone needs the loo in the night. Fine if you're staying alone but with young children means spending the evening in a pitch black bathroom and hoping nobody needs the loo at 5am. Also the accessible room is through a door that a wheelchair user wouldn't be able to open themselves, and only has a double bed without a sofa bed option.

The room i stayed in was dirty and we had to ask several times to have the soap topped up. The windows dont open and the extraction fan wasnt working. Condensation was over the windows and pooling on the window sills. The bed is really comfortable and the curtains close enough - but it is winter so not sure theyd be good enough in the summer. But the staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming at breakfast and dinner times. The food was as you'd expect - good. The kitchen staff worked really hard to ensure all the choices were available all the time - well done - not an easy task in such a large hotel. Your best to park at the ncp and walk across and down the road a bit - really not far. The river is beautiful but the town doesn't feel safe for women on their own once it gets dark. We were approached many times and asked for loose change.

Great hotel for the price point . You can park outside until 8 in the morning for free or a secure carpark for a low cost about 5 mins away. Room was clean and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. A strong smell of cannabis around the hotel frontage was noteworthy. Recommended

Tidy room, comfy bed, only issue was air con didn't seem to do much. Breakfast was very nice with hot and cold motor just over £10 so great value. Very helpful staff and overall pretty quiet although when people were in the hallway, the doors don't stop much noise.

From day one this hotel was just perfect! The location is spot on – right next to the Derbion with fantastic transport links, making it really convenient. The cleanliness throughout the hotel is impeccable, everything feels fresh and well looked after. The staff here are absolutely brilliant – friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The restaurant is top notch nosh, with great food and service to match. A special shout out has to go to both Pat and George for their incredible customer service. They were lovely, chatty, friendly, and nothing was ever too much to ask. They’re a true credit to the team and made my stay extra enjoyable. Can’t recommend this Premier Inn highly enough – I’ll definitely be back!

If you want a view, ask for a run overlooking the river...I didn't and I have a horrible view into an internal space overlooking other rooms. Plus no bath, only a shower

Really nice premier inn, right in the city centre by the bus station but the rooms were quiet and comfortable. Staff were very friendly as well. Need the key to enter the building at night so felt safe.

Staff very welcoming and helpful, hotel and room clean. I paid the extra £25 for 2 course evening meal and breakfast, food was lovely, restaurant area clean and comfortable. Room felt little cold but still had comfortable night’s sleep. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

I've stayed in a few Premier Inns now but my experience of Derby City Centre felt like a slightly different level with some new to me welcomed additions to their usual set up. Yes, the rooms were immaculate, the beds and linen so comfortable and everywhere spotless.. that's certainly all normal. I was impressed with the check in and out which was so easy and quick, using a drop box system, without any need for interaction and this actually benefited my circumstances as I arrived late and left in a hurry. The location was ideal and very convenient, overall a very pleasant experience.
