   Great breakfast with really quick and friendly service. Well priced and it was apparent the ingredients were kocaly sourced and or home made, proper sausages, home made hash browns and beautiful thick cut bacon.

   Great experience! We went here for some lunch and were very impressed with the menu and the prices. We ordered some coffees and the chicken gyros and were very impressed. It was a little like a fajita but either way, the taste was delicious and the portion size was amazing. I cannot name a fault honestly and I will be going back to try more of their menu!☕️

   Went for breakfast and had a salad. We had a little trip out to to check it out. Unfortunately there was a road closure on our route, which made us just too late for breakfast. So lunch it is then. It was a very warm day and we sat outside on their terrace seating. The choices are various sandwiches with different breads or jacket potatoes,soup or quiche. As tempting as they were,we chose off the Specials menu. Thai Salmon Salad £11.95 Chicken & Bacon Salad £11.95 They were prepared fresh and very healthy looking plates. What could we have to rectify not having a fry up? They had just introduced a Strawberries & Cream brioche sandwich £4. Wonder where that idea came from? It was full of fresh whipped cream and strawberries. You can also have it with a Pimm's & Lemonade for £7.95 and visualize you are at Wimbledon. But we are driving so had coffee with ours. The staff are lovely and friendly at this independent family run cafe. On Fridays & Saturdays they turn into a bar and bistro. We shall have to return either earlier for breakfast or later to try the bistro menu.

   I celebrated my 40th birthday at Platta and could not be happier to have chosen here. The venue is fabulously decorated, the food was incredible and my birthday cake was simply amazing! The staff are wonderful - I arranged everything with Simon and from the moment I walked in, knew that my event would be in safe hands. I actually booked my event without sampling anything at that point, but since went in and have had very nice breakfasts, hot sandwiches and brownies (they are so nice - you must try them!). Everyone said how flavourful the food was, how much there was and what a nice variety of home (bistro!) made food was on offer. There was plenty of food and no one went home hungry! Many of my guests said they would be returning for food, drinks and also booking events there too as they were so impressed. Platta is a fabulous venue. The staff friendly, professional and could not do enough to ensure my celebration went how I would like. I honestly cannot recommend Platta enough. I must give a special mention to Simon again for making my birthday cake (lemon and white chocolate!). It was so tasty - don't hesitate for him to make yours! (The macarons on my cake were from 'Macaron marlo' and were also amazing!) This is definitely somewhere to come for breakfast, light bite or even a celebration. I'm already thinking about when I can go next!

   We are so pleased that we hired platta to take care of the catering for our sons first birthday. The food was incredible and beautifully presented. The whole experience from making initial contact with Sarah, to the food being delivered and presented was highly professional and hassle free. Nothing was too much trouble even when we had to make some last minute dietary additions to the order. Everyone was so impressed with the food and no one went home hungry. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend platta to anyone looking for a company to take care of there party. We will defiantly use this service again. Thankyou so much !
