Usually staff are amazingly helpful here. Went in today and two employees near the front of the shop playing their music loudly and having a great time singing along and swinging their lanyards. They were inattentive and largely ignoring or taking a long time to notice customers needing help at the tills.
What a utter joke this store has become ! Asiles far too narrow, stock left on trolleys .I purchased a reduction item..and a few other normal priced items. When I self scanned the said items. I noticed the scanner had not picked up the reduced price label,but the full price ...a difference of £5.!. Called a assistant who then got some body else to rectify the problem...Strangely ,I got a lecture off him I had scan the reduced item wrong !! As I wasn't prepared too be spoken down too by some condescending half with.. clearly explained I had scanned the item correctly, with the reduced price label... and the full price should had been invalidated/ crossed out on the bar code...he then proceeded too rescan the said reduced item. But he purposely put his finger over the original bar code.!!! And implied it scanned correctly for him.. ,! I did mention that there were several other reduced items of the same product..and it would be a good idea too make sure the other reduced items were priced/ correct bar code.. He once again tried lecturing me other people will scan said items correctly !! I couldn't believe he , arrogant unprofessional chip on the shoulder attitude, absolutely disgusting . Personally I will never enter this store again.....my parting comment too this nondescript human was. " Wow ! I gather you're been too university then " ?
Popped in for a new perfume,with no particular idea in mind. A lovely lady assistant came up to help as I probably looked a little baffled by the choice! She was very patient, but I left without buying. An hour later I returned as the last tester I used had become the scent I wanted after being on my skin for a while. She helped again, by identifying the fragrance by ruling out the rest !! I made the purchase ( and my partner bought one too). She was wonderful, funny and a delight to be served by. So, thank you Haleema ( for putting up with me...the lady with a cold)x
Visited today (Sunday) 18th feb. Service was appalling! My husband needed advice from the pharmacist, to busy was the answer. Husband wanted to pay the assistant, no luck here either! Go to the self check out was the answer. We used the self check outs, the only way to pay it seems these days! No human contact. No bags. Our last visit to this store, local independent chemists in the future so we can get a better service with a friendly welcome.
The boots was quite small but the staff was helpful and we managed to source everything we needed because of them.
Wanted to contact the optician store on a Saturday but the phone number goes through to a call centre which obviously isn’t open on a weekend! Not very helpful!
Worst boots I have ever visited!! Such a shame because this store is in a great location. Management is shockingly bad, can't seem to be bothered. I don't understand the opening times??? It states 10am... which is already late but they actually open at 10.30 or 11 most days? This is shocking considering this store is also a pharmacy, and most people rely on accurate information when picking up prescriptions.
Poor management of store, never open on time! They don't even keep customers informed when opening the store late too, this store is consistently late opening by up to an hour on many occasions. There is always unsupervised stock trolleys in the aisles, which are already narrow! Which is a hazard really. Just disappointing to see a boots store this poorly managed.
