I’ve been there today around 11 am, they had a long queue ,(around 20 customers )and only two ladies in the tills …BUT they did a fantastic job, they worked at lightning speed ,they took the time to greet customers I was very impressed with their work ethic. I hope someone reads it and this message reaches them and their employer. Well Done Ladies! Thank you

I’m all for a bargain, really. Who doesn’t love picking up a £1 deal or two? But this Poundland store is a whole different story — and not a good one. I popped in hoping to find some wrapping paper and ended up wondering if I’d stumbled into an abandoned shop. The whole place felt like it had seen better days, and frankly, those days must have been a long time ago. The Atmosphere: Imagine walking into a store after a minor storm. Shelves were half-empty, and the sweets aisle looked like it had been raided. The music playing was oddly gloomy — like the soundtrack to a sad film. Definitely not what you want while shopping. Staff: The staff seemed completely disinterested. One man at the till barely acknowledged me, and when I greeted him, I got a blank stare in return. Another employee was restocking while chewing gum very aggressively. It didn’t exactly scream ‘customer service.’ The Smell: There was a strange, unpleasant smell near the stationery aisle that reminded me of damp carpet. It was distracting enough that I considered buying a candle just to mask it. Prices: Some items were actually over a pound — a bit confusing in a place called Poundland. There were a few “premium” products priced at £3 right next to crushed boxes of their own brand rice. If I’m paying £3, I’d prefer to shop somewhere a bit more respectable. Chaos: At one point, a child was throwing plastic dinosaurs at his sibling while shouting, “It’s the end of the world!” No staff stepped in, which made the atmosphere feel even more chaotic. Overall: If you want to experience what shopping in a somewhat neglected, disorganised store feels like, this is the place. The fluorescent lighting didn’t help either — it made the whole experience quite unpleasant. I wouldn’t recommend this branch unless you’re researching customer service failures or looking for a sensory challenge. Summary: If you want a calm, organised shopping trip, you’re better off elsewhere. Otherwise, this Poundland will give you an unforgettable experience — just maybe not the good kind.

Not as good as it used ho be. Prices quite expensive for items which are cheaper in the main supermarkets. Shelves a bit disorganised and prices missing. Prices needed now as very few items remaining at a pound.

I cannot step foot in poundland out of fear of being harassed by one security guard that keeps following me and continues to follow me in that store and i know it’s a perverse reason. That man has seen me in school uniform. I had turned up months later expecting to be safe from the harassment but no he was still working there and I had expected him to be fired by then because I heard other people have had problems with him.

Disposable BBQs banned in Redbridge and they continue to sell. Mentioned it to the staff, they said management doesn't care and they've told them already

Puntland is one of my favourite stores. I will start the review with the Ilford pound land. You can get variety of products for £1. Some of the products are priced more than one pound. I have been looking for gardening stuff all around and online. I was able to get the flower ports for very reasonable price . I was able to get the very large plastic flower ports for £3. The small ones are £1. If you are DIY person and need accessories please check poundland first before going to other stores. I got my painting brush and rollers from pound land and it lasted long. Also I was able to do my shed with the screws I got from poundland. If you want to get sweets to take abroad please check pound land first. You can get Toblerone 100g its £1. The multi park of dairy milk , Mars, Kit Kat are £1.25 & much more. Most of my home kitchen accessories are from poundland. There are variety of cosmetics and deodorants for £1. There are lots of stationaries , pet food and much more. One more positive note about Ilford store cashiers, they are prompt and very good on serving customers. Please see my photos.

What a brilliant store! Most products are £1, with some prices at £1.50, £2 or £3. They stock toiletries, cookware, plates, bowls, mugs, cake tins, baking trays and a number of kitchen appliances etc. I love the colours of their products. The quality is also good, for the price. I’ve been to numerous Poundlands, but this is by far the best as they have an extensive range of products. I’ll be back in future, to purchase organisers for inside my kitchen cabinets!
