The staff are extremely rude and unwelcoming :( Never visit this place unless you wanna spoil your day.
I come here almost everyday to buy food. The security guard (black)who I always see is friendly and we have a good understanding of each other since he always sees me and my family for the past 4 years. Since months/ a year, there have been different security guards.They all have been following me around the store acting like I’m stealing from the store even though I always pay for my things. They target you for looking different than normal. I ask this co op to sort it out and maybe look at the people who come in and always steal in front of me rather than following me around the store when I’m just picking up some water or dinner. Like today or every other day. let me just look at the aisles for what I want instead of having your security guards follow me up and down and watching me take something from the shelves.
Decent coop store, local to me, has fresh produce and the staff are friendly, clean store, decent affordable prices and good special offer deals!
My brother and I (both black) were pulled aside and patted down by the security guard for no reason, he accused us of stealing and humiliated us in the store, without permission he pat us down looking for anything stolen. We're both around 14 so this was embarrassing for us. He could obviously see us pay from the angle we were at and there was nothing in our pockets, nothing that could've arisen suspicion, based off nothing he searched two young boys without permission, making us feel uncomfortable and embarrassed.
I am a co-op member who lives nearby. The morning staff, who seem to have worked in this local co-op for longer, are very courteous and even alert me for member’s deals. They are always professional, recognise me from going there pretty much everyday. Recently they hired a few new people for the afternoon shift. The staff look clueless, are not helpful when asked questions, the shop is not replenished and they literally walk around with their hands in their pockets chatting to one another. Particularly the girl behind the counter has insinuated twice in 3 days that I had not paid for my shopping bag. She is really rude and all my household and neighbours have complained about the way she approaches people. One thing is to ask politely another is to be finger pointing in a shop full of angry customers. Please get someone experienced and courteous behind the counter and save your loyal customers of this incompetence.

Regular shopper here. Staff very welcoming, boy with the long hair at the till was very helpful and provided a quick and convenient service. Only negative I have is the shelves are often empty.
I love coming to my local shop - you can find everything that you need on a short notice. It's nice and not very busy ideal for quick shopping.
I really like a coop. Yeah the food is like 25% more expensive than other shops but it's good quality and more likely fairly traded. This coop had barely any cold/fresh foods in stock today, but I don't think it's their fault. I'm writing this review during the "fuel crisis" of 2021. Meal deal £3.50 and that was fully stocked.
My son queued up to buy something, they then refused to serve him because he goes to the local school. He is in sixth form, wasn't even in uniform. They usually serve him but one guy evidently enjoys the tiny bit of power he has. Why let him walk around the shop and actually get bits? Especially as he is clearly honest as he was trying to pay. How about a bit of common decency and teaching children to behave by treating them right? I have made an official company any may update this review if something changes.
