   What a gem! My wife and I spent a few days at Chestnuts Country House and absolutely loved it. Dave and Kelly are superb hosts, the breakfast is delicious with a great selection of homemade breads, marmalade and cooked to order mains as well as a variety of locally sourced products. We also had a daily surprise treat like home made trifle and cake in our room. The area has a lot to offer with great pubs, Michelin star restaurants, heritage sites and an excellent day spa within a few minutes drive. Highly recommended and will definitely come back!    Absolutely 5 stars. The UK’s best kept secret. I’ve been lucky enough to stay in some of the world’s top 5-star hotels, but this has just become my new favourite place. Kelly and David are the most lovely, warm and welcoming hosts you could wish to meet, and their breakfast honestly rivals the best Michelin spots in the country. The rooms are spotless, modern and full of charm, the beds are unbelievably comfortable, and the surroundings are simply stunning. I’ll be coming back again and again.

   We had an overnight stay here on our way to Yorkshire and we can confidently say this is the best place we have ever stayed in! The welcome by Kelly and David was exemplary and the room was delightfully decorated, luxurious and comfortable. As for the breakfast - 10/10 and just delicious served in the dining room of the main house which was full of the owners' collection of trinkets and ornaments - great for talking points! Everything was homemade and extremely tasty and the menu had a variety of exciting and original options. I highly recommend this B and B and will be re-booking for our next trip up north! Fantastic - thank you! (and it's dog friendly with a huge lawned area for chasing a ball and burning off some energy after a long car journey!)

   Stunning setting for these beautiful rooms. The coach house did not disappoint! Finished to a very high standard, everything you could need and a very comfortable bed topped off with the most amazing homemade flapjacks. David and Kelly were fantastic hosts, warm friendly and very knowledgeable. Breakfast was amazing, another beautifully decorated room. Great quality produce and most of it home made! We will definitely be back!

   The stay at The Chestnuts Country House was fabulous. It started with a warm welcome in a beautiful setting. The pub in the nearby town was quaint, delicious and very friendly. THE BREAKFAST was fantastic. Homemade and wonderful and I have to mention the English muffins were one of a kind and fresh. The history of the location was very interesting and a delight to hear about. Thank you Kelly and David! Please start teaching how to make that amazing bread. I would love to come back and bring family!

   A fabulous weekend. David and Kelly are the perfect hosts nothing is too much trouble and everything is so relaxed. The room was beautiful. The dinner is outstanding. Breakfast is superb with a huge variety of options. They made us feel very welcome including our dog. There are lots of lovely walks directly from the B&B.

   Thank you so much for having us! Our room was lovely and clean. The bed was really comfortable. Nothing was to much trouble for Kelly, we arrived very early due to attending a wedding we really appreciated this! Breakfast was outstanding too just wow, lots of homemade food! The flapjack, tea and cake left in our room were delicious too what a special extra touch! Beautiful setting and place to stay, we would definitely recommend staying here.

   What a lovely place to stay! Alan and I really felt pampered. The room was beautiful with a comfortable bed, not just one but two sofas, a great bathroom and refreshments provided every day. Breakfast was delicious with a varied choice, including some unusual items. But most of all, Kelly and David were delightful hosts and couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable.

   Wow what can I say, an absolutely beautiful place. We have just returned after a night away for Sarah and my anniversary. A true gem, the rooms were so delightful and spacious. We had a perfect night sleep and we were greeted in the morning to the best breakfast we have ever had. Plenty of home made delights and local produced. Kelly and David are amazing hosts and we will be definitely back this year.
