Cute, quaint spot that is convenient to Belvoir Castle and the neighboring towns as well as Grantham. The host was very nice.

Georgina answered all of my questions quickly, clearly and was really helpful. The day before check in, I messaged to ask for the wifi password and access details. Belinda responded with the wifi details and no access information. I previously asked if someone was going to be on site to greet us or when they would provide access instructions. Check in day came and we arrived on site at 1pm which was the time we agreed ages ago. We were on site from 1pm and messaged multiple times and tried to "call the host" over 10 times which was only giving us a foreign language answerphone. After an hour and a half of waiting I reported this to air bnb for them to try and assist us. They said they were also unable to reach the host and would hold the money until the issue had been resolved. During this time, we also had a tesco shop delivered to the property, which we had to put directly on the floor because we couldn’t access the house! The food included ice creams, meats, milk ect which were out of the fridge for a long period of time. We could only access the garden and a small room labeled toilet. This caused us so much destress and was a horrible start to our weekend break. Around 3pm one of the hosts decided to call us and give us really unclear details of how to get into the property. By this time, the whole family including a child of 2 was waiting all this time. Georgina was not apologetic at all and was very rude and unprofessional on the phone which was surprising due to her kind manner that came through via email. We had a table booked at the pub recommended to us by the host at 3pm which we were late for. The property is big and spacious, the beds where comfy and the towels were really soft. It was a relief to have finally gained access. For the safety of the people sleeping in the rooms facing the road, we wanted to close the entry gates at the front of the property. We closed them but then couldn’t open them again. When we called to ask for help Georgina her response was "we didn’t expect you to close the gate". There was only 1 key for each door so it meant that the people staying in the outside areas could not gain access to the main property until someone inside had unlocked the door. On the morning of our second day we see a dog in the front of the house. I go outside and call the number on the dogs collar and the owner was next door. She used to own this house and the dog likes to come over into the garden. This is weird and I wouldn’t expect this to happen. She took her dog away and later when we went out into the garden we found a dog poo on the grass! The kitchen was pretty well stocked. I wish they had a list of what they have in the property so that it saved us bringing duplicates. We had a BBQ one of the days and the BBQ area was not the same as the picture they sent me. We couldn’t find any BBQ equipment like tongs to turn the food ect. The bins on the property were already full so we didn’t have anywhere to throw away our rubbish and had to leave it inside. The hot taps are cold and the cold taps are hot in more then one room. Poor management on check in

I’m doing a tour of the UK and I stayed one night at this place. I was always under the impression that b&b involved service. I did not expect to have to sort my own breakfast. I think the correct description would be self catering. I was charged £75 for the privilege of staying here. Fortunately, I found a true bed and breakfast in a wonderful Yorkshire village. For £43 a night I had a lovely room, a wonderful cooked breakfast and the host couldn’t have been more accommodating. If it was in commuting distance from Scotland I would make that my base it was so nice. Chalk and cheese springs to mind.

I stayed at Peacock Farm The Paddock prior to and shortly after my charity tandem skydive, which was certainly nice as Nicky and Steve also felt part of my event. They were very informative and knew the local area very well and were really kind hosts throughout my stay. The area could not be more relaxing and peaceful. Unfortunately, I didn’t quite make time for a massage with Mandy this visit due to timings and everything I was trying to get done, but I will certainly be visiting again and booking a massage. However, I would certainly recommend paying that little bit extra to use the hot tub as it is so relaxing after a long day out. The b&b was clean, tidy, and decorated to a high standard, with still keeping a family feel. It was also nice to spend time with ‘Dizzy’ and ‘Mr Sox’ their cats and taking ‘Bailey’ their dog out for a walk.

Lovely place to get away from city and experience quite country routine/life. Best host and they made us feel welcome. It felt as my holiday home! If time allowed then definitely going to visit again. Thank you host.

I stayed at Peacock Farm for 10 weeks over the summer whilst attending a course. Nicky is the perfect host...always so friendly, approachable and goes the extra mile to make the stay as enjoyable as possible :) The rooms are very comfortable and homely set in pretty gardens. Highly recommend :)
