I do tend to write reviews, both good and bad. Check out my other reviews. I try hard to be fair. I rarely use superlatives because superlatives are rarely deserved. Not in this case. This place is superb. We booked into the Garden Suite which itself was exceptional for the price. However, unexpectedly, the larger suite was available and Peter the perfect host suggested we have a look. Wow! A little more expensive than the Garden Suite but frankly Peter could have charged twice that differential and I would still have taken the larger suite. Over two floors. Ground floor has a dinning table exclusive to the suite and where breakfast is served. There was also a baby Grand Piano to add to the palatial feel. Upstairs is huge. Very tastefully decorated in an Asian style with tasteful and interesting fixtures and fittings. It really 'worked'. There was a large and comfortable lounge area, a very comfortable and large double bed with tiger tripe bed set that managed to look classy rather than tacky. The view from the bed through some 'designer' Asian theme trees framing what seemed an endless English countryside at its best view accross a gold course. An ample and spotlessly clean bathroom in the middle and another bed and lounge area, a little smaller but very much complimentary and in sympathy with the overall look and feel. Another small balcony looking onto the front garden area, some private parking exclusive to The Lodge and then accross the road to a school and beyond. I stood on that balcony for over fifteen minutes at around 9:30pm and not one car passed by. It was so quiet. We had an adequate evening meal at the pub five minutes down the road. We were able to specify specific breakfast requirements by texting Peter. The breakfast was fresh cooked and served and as good as any breakfast I have had anywhere. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Thanks Peter! Steve.

Brilliant stay, excellent host and stunning room. I stayed for only one night (sadly) and really wish I had a longer work trip. I stayed in the Bollinger suite which was beyond comfortable and beautifully decorated with every comfort someone could want. Peter is a wonderful host, I was greeted on arrival, shown around and even given a nice chilled glass of wine as I settled in. The lodge is set in a little haven in a quaint village and the room has views over the golf course, felt like a retreat! I will definitely be returning the first chance I get. Thank you Peter for a lovely stay.

What a fantastic place to stay and excellent service from Peter. The breakfast was amazing. The pub a couple of mins walk is also a great visit. Will 100% be visiting again.

Absolutely loved this place. My boss and I were at a networking meeting just a few minutes walk away and I thought it looked lovely but may have been a bit cosy. I had my own spacious apartment downstairs and the boss has his own space upstairs. He was so impressed and we had the best stay here. Peter could not have been more accommodating. The breakfast was beyond 5 star, ask about the poached eggs. Thank you Peter and we look forward to staying again x

Lovely boutique bed and breakfast. We stayed in a huge suite which was extremely clean and comfortable and Peter our host cooked us delicious breakfasts to order when we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble and we were welcomed with a delicious glass of chilled white wine. Much needed after a tricky journey! Some lovely little touches - a light show in the garden and a sherry decanter in our room as well as the usual tea and coffee. Peter was a charming and amusing host and we spent a couple of really enjoyable days there.

Peter is a very cheerful and hospitable host. Accommodation is very clean, well presented and very comfortable. We only stayed one night due to an appointment at the QMC Nottingham. Peter went out of his way for us to avoid all the parking problems with the hospital but giving us a lift in the morning. Already booked accommodation with Peter for our next appointment. Breakfast was 5 star and we are both looking forward to staying there again. Thank you again Peter!
