   Had a great Sunday afternoon in a traditional Newark pub that has a modern vibe. Old fashioned bingo using playing cards (prize on 1st game £46 (£2 entry) & a free pop quiz via their app with a prize. Service was excellent but done with a smile (very friendly staff). Mr Potter the Landlord & his better half were both getting involved with their customers. It's great to see a Landlord trying his hardest to attract new trade to his establishment which can only be better for Newark. I had a few pints & met some new friends, surely that's what it's all about. I'm not a regular pub person but when I do go out I always make the Rutland my 1st point of call. Thanks for a great experience.

   Had to try 'Lynn's Kitchen' as I live local and alone. I like the menu otions and prices are good for what yo get. Left the choice to the server, and they went for Liver n Onions as I "probably don't get it often, living on your own." That's what I call customer care. Very good-sized portion for the price, £10 and you knew it was homemade. I will definitely be a regular for the food and would have given 5 stars if coffee was available, but I enjoyed a good beer in its place. Recommend to all who like real homecooked food. I'll be back for the Sunday Carvery.

   Great atmosphere and bar staff are very friendly, the pub has a large beer garden that will be amazing in the summer, they have a large function room which is free to hire out, not many places now free. I met up with some friends on Saturdays and can honestly say that the place is buzzing at night, will definitely be going back regularly

   I always have a great night here! And it's also great for a quiet little drink and quick game of pool during the day. It's dog friendly and the my children enjoyed coming in for a quick fruit shoot during the summer. Any time I'm out for a night out I always make sure to pop in at some point during my evening.

   I'm leaving a review on the yagermister competition... As I'm the biggest consumer of yager bombs in the pub this surely has to be mine to win.... I regularly come into the Rutland and buy 30 yagerbombs.. they even stock up with supply's when they know Neil Ramrodreilly is coming... if the pub ever ran out of supply's I'd travel to Germany to fetch stock for them free off charge...

   A warm, friendly, local pub at the heart of the Newark community! Drink and food prices are very fair. The Rutland Arms is also a great place to watch the World Cup and their quiz nights are great fun!
