Another Park visited for the first time, I parked opposite within the Hockey centre which is free for visitors...as is also the parking within the park grounds... I'm well impressed by the area and boating lake which is I believe in the University grounds... It's only a short walk around the lake, a casual thirty minutes stroll... Unfortunately the cafe was closed by the time I arrived ...my fault entirely, I'll arrive much earlier next time... There's lots of wildlife especially around the lake, I loved the stepping stones area which is a bit of a short cut instead of going further around the lake... I'll give a more comprehensive review the next time I visit... Very enjoyable two to three hours... Thinking of my next visit already...

Lovely walk, good sized park. Boats are a bonus! Although not cheap, but the young lad and young girl were very friendly! There is hardly any parking, and the spaces are very tight. People seemed to park wherever they like also, with no regards to others. Lovely large grass area to sit on. Shame that people cant be bothered to take their rubbish home with them - or in the bin - theres ample of them!!! Crazy golf and foot golf to. All in all, a lovely outdoor area.

Great place to visit as it's full of nature and a very calm stroll if you want to take the fam and the kids along with you they have amazing scenery and you can even hire a boat and go around the lake on. They also have some amazing statues with loads of detail to them they also have a big play area for kids to play on. There is also a castle not the biggest but still a nice area to visit the park which you can go and stand on.

Used to visit here on a regular basis, however this was my first visit for over 6 months. Thoroughly enjoyed walking round the lake on a sunny evening and was impressed how tidy and well kept the park was. Rowing boats available for rent, as well as mini golf and football golf. Good for families, with large grass areas for picnics and a regular ice cream van parked up. There is also a small coffee shop in the Lakeside art centre.

The clock tower is visible from my bedroom and I can walk to this place in 5 minutes. Been here hundreds of times and know it well. It's very close to Beeston, but classed as being in the Nottingham city boundary. Another typical English style garden landscape with a lake that looks like 2, a few small bridges, small woodlands and spinneys, streams, a Japanese style garden with a rock pools and small artificial waterfall, lots of trees and wildlife, even some caves and small cliffs. You can rent a boat out on the lake. Quite hilly in places and a good place to sledge when snowing. A kids park at the top end with parking, toilets and a cafe. A good family day out that costs nothing to visit, with good footpaths that are suitable for the elderly and disabled. The tram stops just outside 2 gates, for those who don't have a car. There is also a good cycle track that goes along the whole length of the park on the road side. The transport links around Nottingham and Beeston are very good for locals, visitors and tourists. The Nottingham Tennis Centre is right opposite this place on the other side of the road which the tram also goes past.

Amazing & beautiful!! Free parking, beautiful landscape, waterfalls & park for children to play. The boats are so fun! I would highly recommend a picnic & day out on the boats or a game of crazy golf. Lovely little café for drinks & food.. Such a well kept, clean & beautiful park with lots of history & historic building!

This is a very large park. My wife thought this place was wonderful. My 5 year old daughter didn't think this place was very great. We walked around the park and ended up back at the tram stop. There are many Canada Geese here as well. Seems we're not the only Canadians visiting the park currently.

New favourite Park. Can easily spend a full day here. Foot golf, mini golf, boats and play park. Cafe is a bit small but if there weather is nice it's a good spot for a pic nic
