   Beautiful nature reserve, lots of nice walks and bird spotting areas. Sadly some of the buildings appear to have been vandalised. Hopefully they can be repaired.

   Lovely place, the view from the hide as a little overgrown, from what I heard there is more than one hide here but I couldn’t find any more. I would definitely come back except next time maybe bring a chat and if possible a portable photography hide. Saw green woodpecker regularly, parking is for around 10-15 cars only.

   One of my favourite places for a walk. I often visit here while at Holme Pierrepont County Park, or on my way back from Cotgrave Country Park via the old railway line that leads to Radcliffe On Trent. There's some incredible scenery all year round with a couple of routes through a nice wooded area that I always take. It also has a some open green spaces, a meadow, a pond with reed beds, a stream and a big lake with islands that's popular with bird watchers. It used to be a commercial gravel pit, but was transformed into a nature reserve in the 80s. It even has a route that is wheelchair friendly. Because it's close to Holme Pierrepont County Park you're never too far from a couple of cafes and toilets too

   Amazing place for walks, bird watching, dog walking, (and with the right licence) fishing. Plenty to see and do.. it dies get VERY VERY muddy on the longest walk, we are talking, loosing shoes/wellies muddy, but still great.

   Lovely place for a quiet walk. Well shaded on a sunny day, so good for dogs. You can cut onto the rowing lake as well for alonger walk.
