A good experience at Tamar Vets in Holsworthy today. The vet was extremely kind and calm with our rescue dogs who are nervous of going to the vet. He handled them really well and they’ve now had a health check and vaccine boosters for another year.
Great local practice. Reception and nurses are always polite and friendly, especially to my dogs, not just to me. I've never felt rushed when in a consultation with the vets themselves even when they have clearly been busy and they are thorough and happy to answer any questions I may have (and I often have many!). Would definitely recommend.

Love tamar vets I have 2 little kittens and the vets are amazing with them, sooty has just had his first immunisation injection and the bloke was amazing with him, I got lots of advise etc and didn't have to pay till I got paid from work luckly that was the following day. I really recommend tamar vets they are very friendly and very helpful
Tamar have a great an friendly team always happy to help an give you advice. They have always been easy to get appointments an not over priced like some.
Be very wary of this practice. I took my dogs for their annual vaccinations but wasn't allowed in with them because of "covid" although it was not prevalent at the time. Afterwards, in the car park, I was persuaded by the male vet to join a club where you pay a direct debit amount each month and this scheme would, apparently, save me money and would give me lots of privileges such as free advice and consultations on the phone, nail clipping, etc. I then said that it would probably not be worthwhile as my house was sold and I would be likely to move out of the area, but I was assured that I could cancel at any time. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO MENTION THAT I WOULD BE CHARGED A CANCELLATION FEE. However, I cancelled after 3 months because I failed to get any help from Tamar Vets when one of my dogs was on 3 legs because she had a large oozing sore on a paw. I have now been sent a bill for cancellations fees of £67.54 for each dog! I have found Tamar Vets, in this instance, to be extremely uncaring, unprofessional and focused on getting as much money out of unsuspecting pet owners that they can and behaving more like dodgy, secondhand car salesmen. After two appointments with, and treatment from, the other local vets, the paw has now healed. Please see another ex client who has given one star due to the extortionate "pet club". It is a complete con by dishonest, money grabbing people who are disgrace to the veterinary profession. Further to the response; I received 2 invoices both showing cancellation fees and spoke to someone by phone who reiterated that they were cancellation fees. Only after more frustration and posting this review, did they send me a new bill worded in a completely different way and removing the words "cancellation fees." I have the two original invoices for evidence.
