Lovely park by the castle in Newark. Nice to walk by the river. The castle is being renovated at the moment,they are replacing the drawbridge and that will be something special to see.
The green spaces are nice a d well kept, there's some places way in the back / some benches which need some love and care. It's a nice place for the most part but due to other people disrespecting the plkay parks etc , other people miss out.
One of my favourite spots to unwind. There is a car park and the station is a 100 m away. A quick walk into town or to Waitrose if you need substance.
Visited for the Beer Festival but had a little walk in and around the park and riverside. Pretty much what you'd expect but nice and tidy with good views of the Castle across the river.
Love to walk through the park & cross the river at the lock & up to the castle. Today there was a medieval fair with plenty if activities for the children. Great afternoon!
Lovely park and setting with a little cafe serving hot and cold drinks and a bite to eat. Good parking facilities and a toilet if required . Took the dogs for a stroll at a quieter time on a damp day and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It can get very busy at certain times especially on a hot day.
I have driven past this place many times, but this was the first ever time I taken the time to walk around it. Definitely worth pulling over if you are ever going to Newark, Nottingham, or Lincoln. For further pictures please see my instagram page @scottstravelphotos
