Fingals is a lovely place to rent a holiday apartment. The small estate is nestled in the Devon hills just a mile from Dittisham and the Dart Estuary. They have a gym and small swimming pool and the local walks are amazing. Many of the pubs are dog friendly too!
Had a wonderful stay in the Folly for our trip to Dartmouth. Thoroughly enjoyed the facilities available- particularly the swimming pool and table tennis! Despite the tricky, narrow tracks which are to be expected in rural areas, the Fingals was a great base location for us to drive to and from the beach, Dartmouth town and to try our hand at kayaking and boating in Totnes. The Folly itself was magical and provided a rustic but stylishly beautiful accommodation to stay in. The boat seat on the babbling brook was a particular highlight and provided the perfect place to relax with a book. With friendly visitors and owners, superb facilities alongside a brilliant location, this accommodation was the perfect getaway for my partner and I. Thank you very much! - Catherine & Andris.
Possibly the most magical place on earth. If you love quirky cottage core, with vintage and faded grandeur flavours, alongside Bloomsbury arts & crafts, then this is DEFINITELY your place. Add gorgeous walks along streams, a welcoming community and fabulous nearby pubs and restaurants with short drives to Dartmouth and Totnes and the uK’s best beaches, then you’re looking at the dream British holiday. It rained… we didn’t care - love this place, I wish it was mine, but Sheila and Richard are most definitely the deserving founders ♥️
Wow, we spent five nights in the lower mill, what a wonderful break, we needed so badly, Fingals is a rare find, both Sheila and Richard such lovely hosts, a gem of a holiday, luxury, swimming pool, sauna,gym, very reasonably priced, and an unusual, beautiful cluster of various buildings to choose from, to stay in, left to our own devices, peaceful, I can’t praise the place enough, but need at least two weeks , hope to return. A superb, wonderful place, magical.
We just enjoyed a beautiful and relaxing weekend in The Barn. Fingals is such a warm, friendly place with distinct style and character. We loved using the pool, sauna and games room, also enjoyed the art throughout and the lovely gardens. Recommended!
A wonderful retreat....a calm place for me to be inspired and write peacefully. The most luxurious huge bed to indulge in after a sumptuous hot bath.
We had tried for sometime to find a place where we could celebrate Christmas and our Golden Wedding .Fingals was perfect for us .There were 15 of us ,each family had their own accommodation and we were able to meet and eat together in The Barn .We hired an excellent chef and all went very well .Fingals is a magical place,it is unique .We were well looked after and made the most of our time together.All the preparations were discussed and provided for . .It will be a memory for us all .Many thanks for everything
We loved our stay in The Folly, it was a really special holiday for my husband's birthday. The children thought the pool was wonderful and we all loved the boat to sit in by the river! Beautiful quirky decor, friendly hosts and a lovely, comfy apartment. We really hope to come back!
Fingals was a magical place and perfect for our world wide family reunion. The location, gardens accommodation and facilities suited our needs perfectly. Sheila and Richard were on hand if we needed them.
