I went in today to use the Cewe machines for printing photos. The first machine I tried, the cable wasn't working so I tried to order via QR code. After putting the order through on my phone, I realised the QR scanner wasn't working either. I tried another machine, same problem. I moved onto another machine, I managed to successfully get the pictures uploaded and paid, then I got an error message and couldn't print the photos. I asked a member of staff for help and she directed me to Matthew. Matthew was brilliant. His customer service skills are fantastic. He did his best to get my photos printed but couldn't figure it out. He called a manager to come help me and went back to helping other customers. I didn't catch the manager's name, but he came over looked at the machine for a moment then switched it off. He didn't say a word to me this whole time. I was about to talk to him to try resolve the issue but he just ignored me, walked a way and didn't even advise Matthew on how to help me. I had to wait for Matthew to finish with other customers then explain the situation to him. He apologised for the manager's behaviour despite the fact that he clearly wasn't to blame and offered me a refund, which I took. I went back to order the photos again on a fourth machine. I ended up getting the same error message but this time I realised it was because the manager had taken the till roll out of the machine I was currently using. So I was able to resolve it myself by removing the roll from the switched off machine and moving it to the one I was using. Matthew kept checking in with me to make sure everything was running smoothly for me. There were no photo folders big enough for the photos I had printed so he grabbed me a bag. Matthew is an asset to your team. He has excellent customer service skills, is very friendly and will go above and beyond to help a customer. The manager however, could do with some retraining on the basics of customer service and managerial skills. From the short interaction I had with him, it seems he really isn't cut out for the role he is in.

I would like to leave a review about your lovely Belfast store staff member Lynn. I was in store today wandering around a bit hopeless looking for help to get a few new items of makeup I haven't tried before, I came across the beauty booth? area with large mirrors & stools where staff help you with all the brands. I had no idea this existed, absolutely brilliant idea, especially when you're unsure of what you need. Lynn came up to me & tbh I was feeling fragile & tearful. She was so kind, and chatted to me then proceeded to help me find what I needed and madeup my face, she really cheered me up, she's VERY good at finding products for you but is not at all pushy. She has made me feel more confident to branch out to other brands. I want to look into some higher end makeup and so with help, no expensive mistakes made. I'll definitely be back, and will look out for Lynn. So THANK YOU LYNN

Ana from LancΓ΄me is absolutely amazing! She's super friendly, always willing to help, and makes you feel so comfortable while shopping. Her knowledge of the products is impressive, and she takes the time to understand what you need. Plus, sheβs just the cutest warm smile, great energy, and such a positive vibe. She made my experience so enjoyable. Highly recommend asking for Ana if youβre visiting!

I love Boots! So I hate to have to leave a negative review. However, I am now incredibly upset by the treatment I have received from one of the supervisors in store this evening. For the second time, I have bought items which are showing as reduced on the labels in store, only to find that they are not actually reduced until tomorrow. After I realised that I had paid full price for both items - which were both advertised as on offer, I went back and asked the guy putting the labels on the shelves, why I had been charged full price? A fair-haired woman, mid twenties, with her hair slicked back, came and asked her staff member if everything was okay, completely ignoring me. She then said that it said on the labels that the offers didnβt start until tomorrow and, after some time looking, pointed to some minute numbers saying 0207 beside the bar code. Since I used to work in another high street store, I know that they are not allowed to advertise goods at a price that they are not actually selling them at! When I mentioned this to her, she said βYou canβt expect us to stay up to 1am putting labels on things!β and then she said βRight Iβll refund itβ and stomped off to the till, not saying one more thing to me. When I left the store, I realised that she had only refunded one of the items and not the other - and she had kept the receipt! I was so upset by the way I had been treated in front of other customers, that I didnβt even notice that she hadnβt returned it or refunded the whole amount. Not only that but she gave me a disparaging look as I left the till. I am just flabbergasted that this woman is one of your supervisors/managers! Is this seriously the standard of service you now get in Boots? Sorely disappointed! To reply to your response: I would have thought that Boots would want to investigate any complaints against staff or in-store policies themselves, especially when it involves what are, essentially, illegal practices!! It seems to me that Boots has become so large that it has lost its core values - I.e. good customer service. Good customer service is essential for any business to thrive, and costs very little to for a company to employ.

Went into Boots today following a bad experience in another makeup store. The lovely Karen at the No7 counter assisted me in finding a foundation that actually matched my skin. She took great care of me and my skin and provided me with very helpful advice. Couldnβt recommend Karen and her service more.

I'm torn, can be fabulous but can be frustrating - some of the staff are exceptional and can't do enough, others are more interested about whining about how they actually have to work. It's a shame that a few staff at the front of the store can take away from what is a great spot to shop!

I have been shopping in the Belfast city centre branch of Boots for many years now. It stocks a wide range of health and beauty products. There is also an Optician which I have been to a number of times, the staff are always friendly and helpful. My daughter has had her flu jab at Boots several times. There is also a photo printing service. There is a good range of baby products including some clothes. I have had an Advantage card since it was first introduced, it is a generous rewards scheme.
