   A couple of weeks ago, during the last storm, storm Amy, I had to take my German Shepherd to be pts. When I first made a call I got a really nice, polite and sympathetic girl on end of phone. She explained that due to the weather they would be closing early, but if I could get there before 5pm then that would be fine. I explained that I could not lift my dog into car and would have to wait for my son to finish work and I would ring to let them know if I could make it or not. So when I rang back at half 4 to say that we where on our way, the person, who was different from the first, was rude and abrupt and seemed put out when I said that we where on our way. Arrived at vets at a quarter to 5. We were ushered into the examining room by a grumpy receptionist called Lindsay. The actual vet, was lovely and give us time with our dog and said that there was no hurry to leave. When I asked the vet if I just paid at reception she said that I could pay now or pay later. I wanted to pay then. As I left the surgery I was greeted by Lindsay, when I said that I wished to pay there and then, she put her hand on my shoulder and said rudely will I just send you an invoice and practically pushed me out the door! A couple of days later we were sent an unitemised invoice for £385. That was for cremation as we could not bring body home and obviously drugs. When I went to pick up ashes about four days later, the receptionist, who told me she was new was really lovely and sympathetic and seemed to genuinely care. She also asked if £385 was correct. Said I didn’t know but would like an itemised invoice to see exactly how it amounted to that amount. She printed an invoice of but it was not itemised, so she took my email address and said that she would get them to email me one. Paid the amount anyway. Haven’t heard a word back from them! Not very professional and don’t think I will be using them again in future!

   Visited Vets for Pets Carrickfergus this afternoon. Came away a bit annoyed as I had wanted a seniors MOT for my 10 year old springer. The Vet asked me to show her the growths on my dog! She didn’t come across very interested she didn’t even check his weight!, Surely as a professional she should have been thoroughly checking my dog over especially at the price they charge! Very disappointed in the service. The vets they had in the Larne practice were so pleasant and came across as having a genuine concern for your animal.

   They were very efficient from booking appointment and then arriving. The staff were very friendly and informative regarding my dog Bonnie . Always use Vet for Pets . Though would be nice if they could reopen the practice in Larne . Where we live but we'll continue to visit them .

   Everyone was very understanding and welcoming of my dog - they understand he's very jumpy around new people and in small areas but took time to make sure he received full adequate treatment regardless of this issue. Even when he growled and barked at the vet she remained professional and continued whilst giving him space to calm down - unfortunately my dog is always defensive at the vets due to past happenings at another clinic, but the vet I saw was perfect with him. She understands the needs of the pets

   took time to deliver the vaccine to my very nervous dog by gaining her trust first so nurse was able to deliver vaccine unaided whereas usually she has to be taken away for two staff to deliver it up her nose

   Today was a very sad day for us. We had to have our 17 year old Cairn Terrier put to sleep. The service from the staff was excellent. They allowed us to stay with him until he fell asleep. They were sympathetic and explained everything that was about to happen clearly and concisely. They made a very difficult day that little bit more bearable. Thank you.

   I just always find all of the staff to be really friendly and helpful. My dog keeps ending up with minor things wrong with him fairly regularly and they always take all of them very seriously. The reception staff are also always exceptionally friendly and helpful.
