Beautiful space ✨️ You can dip your feet or swim. A quiet and relaxing space to immerse yourself in nature.

Lovely, quiet (at least when we were there-late morning) woodland walk. Track's a bit rough in places, but not too bad. Could benefit from a couple more direction markers to help find the Fort.

We found this place by accident and thought we would stop to give the dog a leg stretch. Turns out it was one of our favourite walks of our trip! The paths are well maintained down to the river and new paths have been formed where there has been erosion. The water is deep in places allowing dogs a really good swim. It was even deep enough for humans to swim too!

Wonderful riverside walk. Steps in places. Saw a kingfisher. Peaceful.

beyond beautiful. the walk down to the river from the car park is easy and really lovely! lots to look at, whether that's trees, rocks, beetles or birds. the river looks as though it gets deep enough to swim in so when the weather picks up again we will definitely be taking a dip! super easy location to find and great amount of parking spaces (the parking is free).

Woods great walked down to the river. The trees by the side had the soil around the roots washed away which l found fascinating

Free car park a few minutes from Buckfast. Woodland walks along river Dart and up steep hill to the fort (site rather than a building!). Great for dog walking, paddling in river and there is a wide deep area for swimming.

A place of natural beauty small car park in the woods free of charge , lovely walks down to the river and Celtic fort ideal for dog walks.Note by riverside one part if path is closed due to path being washed away by high water only shows this from one direction but alternative route accessible. Nice for picnics , bird watching etc
