Avoid at all costs,we have been using firgrove for the past 14 years but we won't be back. Our 2 dogs stayed in the kennels for 8 nights, when we picked them up everything seemed normal though strangely our lab/collie Lucy had her harness on when she came out of her pen. There were no issues raised by staff. When we got home we found that her harness had not been removed the entire time she was there. Her shoulders were badly injured were it had been rubbing. We rang Charlene(manager) who claimed they hadn't noticed the injuries but had trouble removing harness as she was nipping at them. When we dropped Lucy off she happily walked off tail wagging with a member of staff so we were surprised to hear this. This was Lucy's 3rd time staying here, never any issues before. We were also told they would cover any vet bill. The team at Voy veterinary clinic were disgusted by her injuries.Lucy was kept in for a day, the bill was £200.I emailed the invoice and photos & received a call from Charlene that night, again she said they would pay vet bill.A few days later with no contact from them I hand delivered the vet bill to Charlene, again we were told it would be payed.A week later again with no contact we drove down to the kennels.Staff couldn't locate Charlene on the property so told us to ring her. I can only assume she was hiding from us as she informed us they wouldn't be paying bill as insurance said no,I find it hard to believe they would claim a £200 bill on their insurance.Charlene then proceeded to blame us for the whole thing, claimed she never said they would cover vet bill, claimed Lucy after walking off tail wagging with member of staff turned into some sort of vicious rabid dog that was trying to attack everyone hence her harness couldn't be removed but then stated staff were sitting in pen with her trying to get to know her which makes no sense if she was so vicious.Claimed she doesn't deal with emails even if her names on them,it wasn't her which again makes a lot of sense.NO effort was made to contact us,we were only on the Isle of man so easily contactable.if there were any issues at all we could of sent a family member up.My in laws dog was staying at same time & when picking up she enquired about our dogs to be told they were fine,no problems. If we had of been away any longer Lucy would've been seriously ill or worse. If you want your dog neglected, needing medical attention and lies and false promises are your thing this is the place for you,They've lost our custom and a number of relatives won't be back either, not the place it used to be

I will never be sending my dog back here again and I am absolutely appalled at both the service and how the dogs are treated. Prior to sending my dog we asked if we could bring toys etc to make the dog comfortable on his first stay away from home. We were told we could bring these, however upon arrival to collect my dog nothing has been moved out of the bag and no toys given to him even though we specifically requested this. We were given no updates when collecting our dog as to how he was and the service from all was shocking. My dog came home very withdrawn and not his usual self which isn’t surprising given the dogs are not given their toys etc that the owners send them in with. Avoid at all costs, appalling service.

Will not be sending my dog back here ever again. Was worried sending my dog away for the first time and the staff members were not accomodating or helpful in the slightest. Asked were we allowed to bring a bag with toys and blankets for our dog to feel more comfortable and were told yes. However, once we collected our dog we recognised that the bag was sitting on the counter the exact way we had left it. Toys and blankets were not touched as the two toys were bought brand new. We received no updates of how our dog was, when he was last fed. In fact we barely even received a hello once we were collecting our dog. Staff members at reception seem to have no interest in looking after the dogs or interacting with them. Dog came out of this facility totally out of character and not his usual happy excited self. Will be finding somewhere else where they take a better interest in the animals in their care and have the decency to communicate to you once your collecting your pet. Totally disappointed.

Left my two dogs in for a couple of days. The young fella working was very accommodating and very welcoming. However, the young blonde girl had an attitude from the minute we walked in and she made it clear that everything was a problem. I was not put at ease in the slightest and have now been left with a terrible first experience and I will not be leaving my dogs here again. I had trusted the previous reviews left for this kennel and I was left completely unsure of the safety and well being of my dogs. It was very daunting leaving my fur babies for the first time and this employee clearly could not care - between rolling her eyes and having a disgusting attitude I am appalled at how I have been left feeling along with the treatment of my two dogs.

I really cannot recommend this place enough. My dogs were returned to me this morning after a 3 month stay both are really happy and healthy and were even shampooed before being returned. The people are great communicators and will do anything possible to help. Will MOST DEFINITELY be using them again 5**************

We left our 4 month old pup with Maurice and his staff for over a week. We highly recommend Firgrove Pet Resort. From the first moment we made contact with Maurice and his staff to the day we collected our pup, everyone at the resort was fantastic. I would without hesitation leave our dog with Maurice and his staff again.
