This review is overdue but yesterday really took the cake. I have a pup, Jake, who has been fearful and slow to warm up to people ever since I had him at 9 weeks. We have been walking him together to try to acclimate him to walks with her or other care. Of course it isn’t realistic to have only one possible caretaker and some days our schedules conflict so I was also utilising a doggy day care on days we couldn’t meet. Yesterday our schedules conflicted so I brought him to the daycare and he escaped. I messaged Lauren knowing other than she, my housemate, or possibly the neighbours who his best dog friend lives with were the only people who would likely get close enough to catch him if we could find him. She messaged back shortly offering to help. Jake was lost 6-8 hours and Lauren helped search the entire time. When I was leaving cuts of old clothes to hopefully help him find his way home she picked me up to take me back around where he had last been seen and thank God, that’s when the daycare that lost him called letting us know he’d wandered into a field and he was now safe waiting for pickup. She actually picked him up for me and gave us a ride home. If you want someone who genuinely cares about your furry friend, definitely go with Lauren
