   Forget the café. There's always an enormous queue. Tables are dirty due to lack of staff to clear and clean for the next customer. When I visited their contactless payment method wasn't working. All I wanted was a cup of tea but had to wait at least 20 minutes! Plus there's no escalator to the first floor and always a queue at the lift. Buying any products is also a challenge. Little customer service and long queues at the tills. I've been a regular customer at M&S most of my life. Go to the M&S in Cheltenham or go to John Lewis You will still have to queue but better service, clean tables and lifts that take you from the ground floor to the cafe.

   Marks is a good shop, the cuts are a bit off in the men's trousers and the quality of the formal shirts does not equal the casual wear. I buy a lot from Mark's as a rule, eg jeans and underwear so lots of good. However the toilets are horrendous and have been now for months - about time for a refurb i would say

   Came in on Saturday to shop for a brown coat. Approached an assistant & asked for the coats “ oh they’re dotted about” was the reply asked her an idea where I can look “ no” was the reply. What’s happened to your customer service? If she didn’t know she could have offered to find someone to help! No help was offered at all. Extremely poor service. Obviously went elsewhere.

   It is a pity, that the quality of the goods is high, but the "quality" of the staff is low. My daughter went out in tears - there was no help with her first bra at all, except pointing to somewhere, where the first bras should be hanged. Sorry ladies, never again

   Quality products and quality food. My experience was positive and when I arrived I was asked by a member of staff if I needed anything. I was also helped with getting the correct shoes and was served with a smile. Thanks to the team! Then went to the cafe and coffee was fresh and the team there were helpful too. The food hall was well presented and again helpful staff. A positive experience all round!

   Just had the worst coffee I can remember. It was virtually all warm milk, very little coffee. The toasties sandwiches are bland and limp. The fries must have been on death row. M and S used to be a good place to go for a quick lunch but this particular outlet is very average. Room for considerable improvement.

   Great shopping experience with plenty of different clothing for all family members based over 4 floors, And a lovely food hall located in the basement, Top floor has a great cafe with a small outside terrace which overlooks Exeter high street, The only downside is I don't think they sell toys?? But overall a great shop which also has different entry/exit points for different areas of Exeter

   Apparently they do not sell any bags/ handbags.. at least the 3 members of staff who I asked had no idea where they could be in the shop.. one of them just walked away (appearing annoyed that I bothered her) without even telling me if she is going go to find out or not.. after waiting for a little while I also left without buying anything. Not likely to return as plenty of other shops around.
