We have always loved Robertos so booked a table for my daughters friends' Birthday. We arrived, were shown to our table and ignored. Eventually 15 mins later we ordered drinks and then our menus arrived. During this time 3 other tables were seated, drinks and menus fetched and orders taken. Again we were ignored. 15 mins later, we had now been seated for half an hour, I asked for our drinks bill as I pointed out to the waitress, obviously you can't be bothered to take our order! We were told we could leave whenever at no charge. No apology. Nothing. The waitresses had been standing around talking. As you obviously are not interested in looking after your customers, we won't be returning. If I treated my customers like this, I wouldn't have a business. Shocking!! (We did have a lovely meal for our friends Birthday at a restaurant just down the road).

Another great meal! First one in the new location, a lot bigger but still has that welcoming feeling. Had the set menu which has a great choice, I asked for extra meat in my pasta dish and they happily obliged. The waiter who served us was so pleasant and attentive. Will ALWAYS recommend Robertos!

We had this place on the list for some time and we gave it a go tonight. The place is loud and extremely warm, but overall affordable. Food on the other side, unfortunately didn’t excite us as much as we expected. The pasta were certainly all in the same kind of sauces and the white sauce just pure double cream with no trace of actual cooking sauce of frying some onion with garlic and the mushroom etc and make it a sauce out of it for the spaghetti funghi. It tasted like they boil the pasta and just threw the double cream on with some mushrooms and that was that. Same with the bolognese sauce, just canned tomatoes, and the lasagna sheets and cannelloni were overcooked and mushy. This is not real italian food, they don’t even have a proper wood fire for pizzas either. The service, terrible from start to end, with a team of 10 people not facing the small establishment service, just one single waitress that actually knew what to do, and the rest were just walking around. Plus, the drinks didn’t come on a tray, and the server had her fingers all over the rim of the glasses instead of holding the glasses from the middle. They didn’t have a clue about dishes, drinks, just walking around, waited ages for the bill, it took 5 people to ask for it, not stopping when you say stop at pepper nor parmezan just to finish off the spoons, certainly not professional and not the friendly service that you get in Italy and hospitality that Italians are known for. The only good thing out of the whole experience were the desserts, and the cheesecakes were delicious. Shame as it looked like it had a lot of potential.

I visited Roberto’s Pizza House last night and overall had a lovely evening. For a starter, I chose the Caprese salad, usually one of my favorites, but unfortunately, I would only rate it 2/10. The tomatoes had no flavor at all and tasted like plastic. Honestly, I think it would be better to remove this dish from the menu if the quality of ingredients can’t be improved. On a positive note, I tried the Lobster Agnellotti with salmon sauce, and it was truly delicious. The Spaghetti Carbonara is not prepared in the traditional Italian way, but it was still very tasty and enjoyable. For dessert, I ordered the Tiramisu, which I would rate 7/10. The flavor was good, but the ladyfingers were quite dry, which took away from the overall texture. What really stood out was the staff - extremely friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. Their hospitality made the evening special, and despite the small issues with some dishes, we had a wonderful time. With a few improvements in the menu quality, this place could easily become a top spot for Italian dining.

Lip smackingly tasty, authentic Italian food, served with welcoming smiles in a homely restaurant. Been around for donkeys years and no doubt many more years to come. The photographs on the wall of various stars who have dined there always provokes conversation.

I'm a pasta lover and it's been a while since I've had really good Italian food. We went here and it was quite busy but the good was amazing. The mains were delicious and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I do recommend booking ahead of time. We will definitely be back again.
