Cheap and cheerful pizza joint off the main strip in Lewes. Excellent service and fast pizza turnaround. Pizza selection has the usual suspects and a few special creations.
I have had 2 birthday parties at Rustico always after some high adrenaline activity and both times its been a real relief to hand over to Tom so he can amuse, educate and feed them whilst I recover with a beverage and pizza of my own. Higlhy recommended. Yesterday we went again and he and the team showed the same patience and humour as over excitable tired hungry kids were calmed amused and fed. Thank you Tom and team.
Came for dinner with 14 of us, half of them under 13yo and these wonderful people couldn't be more accommodating and lovely. We aren't a quiet group, but they looked after us without any complaint. Thanks to you all, especially the lovely Gelia who looked after us!
What a lovely restaurant! Very warm welcome. Good selection for vegetarians. We shared some light bites followed by sharing a Pizza Pesto. The pizza was the most delicious we have eaten in a long while. All washed down with the house red which was very acceptable. We were visitors to Lewes - this restaurant will encourage us to return!
I recently visited an Italian cafe and had the pleasure of trying their pizza, bread, and pasta. The food was absolutely delicious! The pizza had a perfectly crispy crust and was topped with fresh, flavorful ingredients. The bread was warm and had a great texture, and the pasta was cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce. The service was also excellent, with the staff being friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for delicious meal in Lewes.
The pizzas are amazing they are SO delicious. The pasta was a little disappointing. It would have been so easy to cook fresh pasta and make a pasta sauce instead of microwaving something frozen or out of a packet. This lets a superb pizza restaurant down. Would certainly go back for their yummy pizzas though. Service was excellent, on the ball but not intrusive.
Great food on nice restaurant! Staff really friendly. We went our first time to the Hastings restaurant and this one has the same level of quality. Pizzas are very well cooked and taste like the original Italian pizzas. They even have Italian juices or coffees! If you miss the Italian traditional cuisine, this place completely worths a visit.
The pizza is wood fired and excellent. Friendly staff, relaxed, casual atmosphere, retro Italian decor, reasonable prices. No draft beer but apart from that the drinks menu is fine.
Eaten there 2 nights running, pizza then lasagna, both enjoyed with a glass of St Gervase. Good food, unpretentious and inexpensive. Enjoyed both meals. They have a renowned take out service too. Always try to back a local business.
