Used to be great but as of late maybe they have new owners but the topics are sparse and quality isn't the same as it used to be unfortunately. Dominos is far better now.
I ordered via just eat, the deliver took 2 hours and I had to arrange alternative food for my kids (who wasn’t best pleased about it). However, this isn’t the reason for the 1 star. I called up on multiple occasions whilst waiting for the delivery and asked the staff member to please make sure the food is freshly cooked for when the delivery driver gets there. The first gentleman I spoke with was very polite ensuring this would be the case. The second lady I spoke with was very abrupt and rude and put the phone down on me mid conversation. Anyway they both lied to me as the pizza was stone cold when it arrived. I’ve claimed for a full refund from JustEat for the cold food and ridiculous delivery time. But I wanted to make my point known that I had to microwave a freshly delivered pizza, like it was sat on the counter for over an hour and a half waiting for a just eat driver to confirm the pick up. In addition to this, the pizza was as dry as a bone. Like it was made yesterday, left in the bin and returned to the kitchen just for me, all because I was calling in an asking the staff member to ensure the pizza i ordered was still fresh after a delay from JustEat. Will NOT be ordering from here again.
Ordered on just eat app, food order was accepted then showing it was out for delivery. After waiting for 25mins on what is a 5min journey literally (you can walk it in less that 15minutes at an amble) I called the restaurant to be told they were closed and had cancelled my order… so why was I charged and it showing out for delivery! If you don’t accept order past a certain time due to closing set your machines and ordering systems to that time as quite frankly it’s pure laziness and yes I work in hospitality and when we say we do food to a certain time if you order at any point up to that time you will get your food
Papa Johns has become my go-to whenever I’m in the mood for a proper pizza night at home. I love getting takeaway from here—it’s always hot, fresh, and reliably good. The dough is soft but never soggy, the toppings are generous, and the garlic sauce? Absolute perfection. I usually go for the BBQ Chicken Classic or the American Hot, and both are spot-on every time. What I really appreciate is how consistent they are. Whether I order through the app or pop in to collect, the food is ready when they say it will be, and the quality doesn’t dip. Staff are friendly and quick, even when it’s busy. It’s just one of those places I know I can count on when I don’t feel like cooking but still want something satisfying. Easily 5 stars from me. Great pizza, great service, and perfect for takeaway nights.
Just ordered a pizza and I’ve never had a pizza so dry. I complained mentioning that the base had hardly a tomato base. Crazy thing is they sent a new pizza and it was exactly the same. Avoid if you do not want to pay for a pizza that is worse than a frozen pizza. Unfortunately I will never order from papa johns ever again as they did not apologise and couldn’t see the issue.
I ordered for delivery for £1.99 extra on line with my mobile number I waited nearly about 2 hours on the papa john's it said enjoy but didn't receive it so I rung up and they said we tried ringing me to say there are no delivery drivers but they did not and your husband picked up and took the food I dont have a husband I then asked for a refund but couldn't do so I ended up collecting it and they gave me a drink said for free but a paid for delivery so not free so buy the time walked back home it was cold it would of been nicer if it was hot
Ordered at 6:10pm this evening and food was not delivered until 8:40pm - no apology, no phone answered so I couldn't even cancel it. Food was cold, hard and inedible - avoid this place!
I ordered a pizza a few days ago, came cold and was the wrong pizza. Was offered another pizza which never arrived after 3 hours. Contacted head office who said sorry about my experience but they wont give me a refund ... a Proper piss-take. Last time I ever use Papa Johns. The picture attached was suppsoe to be a Garden Party with extra Olives and Pineapple, just turned up with Olives and Pineapple only and cold.
