Incredibly impressed with this place from start to finish. We arrived a little early and were seated at the bar, which turned out to be entertainment in itself — watching the chefs cook right in front of you was great. We ordered a couple of drinks; I had a lovely white wine which I really enjoyed. Once we were shown to our table, all of the staff were polite, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They took our orders and the timing of each dish was spot on. The food was outstanding — honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The meats were cooked perfectly and paired beautifully with the sauces (peppercorn, mushroom, and chimichurri). The sides were full of flavour and a great addition to the meal. Considering how much we ordered and the amount of wine I had, the price felt extremely fair and not overpriced at all. I would highly recommend anyone thinking about eating here to just do it — you won’t regret it. Thank you again. It was also a really thoughtful touch to bring over a small dessert plate for my wife’s birthday. A lovely gesture that made the evening even more special.

I think the best streak in Brighton. We've been four times, waited to review, great each time. Really well priced and amazing steaks. Friendly, knowledgeable, service. A London chain had opened up nearby. In London, they're a no brainer. In Brighton, go local and independent. Open kitchen, the counter seats are fun, the chefs serve you if you're sat there. Nice wine list. Well priced by the glass.

What a great little place! Looks unassuming, understated decor (except for the hop bines full of lights in the ceiling!), open kitchen, lovely staff who were knowledgeable and helpful, so lots to recommend it even before we get to the food! My only very minor issue was that the delicious fresh bread was cold, maybe if it had been warmed a little that would have been perfect. The corn ribs were the best I've ever had, really tasty! The steaks were cooked perfectly, the accompanying sauces were absolutely spot on, and the sides were out of this world! We had creamed spinach and macaroni cheese with my wagyu and my wife's sirloin, the perfect amount to share. The cocktails were really good too, so if you're in Brighton and you fancy a great steak in a lovely place with a delicious cocktail, this is the place for you!

We walked-in and got a table, which was nice as the restaurant was already packed. They serve what seems a good Sunday Roast but we wanted to tried their steaks. Their Ribeye was ok, nothing impressive so it is ok to use a sauce with it, it will actually make the meal nicer. The croquettes were really nice and so the spinach. Service was nice and attentive.

My husband and I had our first visit here last night for our anniversary. We both agreed that it was the highlight of our mini holiday in Brighton! Every member of staff is beyond welcoming, polite, and attentive. The food itself is like nothing else — absolutely delectable. We ordered the mid-week sharing platter and we could not believe how incredible everything it came with was. Each of the sauces we got (chimichurri, four peppercorn, and mushroom) really elevated our already incredible steaks (and lamb). The value of the sharing platter is really great as well. The atmosphere is cosy and inviting. At the end of our meal, we were given an anniversary plate with delicious chocolate truffles on it, a gesture my husband and I found very endearing. You seriously will not be disappointed. We highly recommend this place and cannot wait to return the next time we’re in Brighton! ☺️

Sit by the bar and see it for yourself if you doubt this review! Will be back the next time if I do get to come to Brighton again!

Amazing food. I am very fussy with my food but there was nothing I didn't like here or wasn't tempted by when I saw it cooking. 10 stars!! We sat at the bar so we spoke to the chef's all evening, they told us about the food and lots of other conversations. An all round amazing night and would highly recommend to anyone after a nice dinner out.

Phenomenal food, beautiful calm and airy environment, outstanding service. We were a group of 4 and all ordered different things so we got a good taste of nearly the full menu and everything was delicious. Also it’s an absolute treat watching the chefs cook in the open kitchen. Overall an amazing experience will definitely return.

We went on New Years Eve, and had the most amazing evening. The food was beyound delicious. We chose a counter seat and the chefs explained every dish, shared stories and made us feel so welcome. The meal was brilliant value for money for NYE and took the form of an 11 course tasting menu. Will definitely be back.
