Such a lovely little place, right inside the aerodrome. Charming building, the staff are super friendly and you can watch the light surrogates airplanes and helicopters taking off and landing right in front of you.
Perfect airport cafe/restaurant with REAL art deco look and feel and panoramic views of the airfield, plus outside terrace to take the sun. We were there for cafe visit and were served by friendly, helpful staff. Good coffees. Tea in teapot and Danish Pastries to die for - ming that waistline!
An interesting place to have some drinks, right next to the plane parking. You can watch the coming and goings of the airport while you sip drinks and eat food, we didn't get any food. But it did look amazing.
Tried a few dishes from the lunch menu which were all delicious. The cajun loaded chips being a particular highlight. Friendly, attentive staff and a lovely atmosphere. Would absolutely recommend.
We when today for a late breakfast (10.30 am), 3 of us. Mocha and a latte, two veggie english breakfast and a scrumble egg. The place was very noisy, we couldn’t not even hear each other out. Great service, speed hot drink, waited a bit for the food: good quality but we really don’t understand how you can serve those very thich (1 inch) two slices of bread with the breakfast and 4 with the scrumble eggs. Overall fine, we will be back.
Great place, food and staff. I go in for the cakes & usually cycle there. Staff were brilliant recently when my mum accidentally spilled a coffee off the table and it ran off onto my daughter. They immediately jumped into action to get her clean and assist me to check for burns etc. Gladly the coffee had cooled down enough so all was good. Very gratefully received assistance however.
Absolutely delicious food and generous portions (breakfast). All the staff were so lovely and accommodating. Great view of the planes for the children (and us!) Get there early to avoid waiting for a table and take cash for tips. We will definitely be going back. Thank you for a great morning.
Took my boyfriend for breakfast on Sunday morning as a birthday surprise.The restaurant was busy but tables were turning over fairly quickly. Plenty of very attentive staff and although there was a small wait for the breakfasts (we both had the ‘ultimate’ ), our drinks were delivered straight away. The food was delicious - all perfectly cooked and nicely presented with really thick cut slices of toast. Lovely to watch the planes taking off and landing while we were eating too. There’s even a cake menu for when you just go for tea and cake- that’s the next trip! Overall experience was brilliant and can’t fault it. Well done and thank you to the staff.
I went for the ultimate breakfast and my wife had the eggs and bacon. It was all tasty. Service was excellent. The place can be quite noisy when busy due to the hard floor. I would give it 5 stars if the baked bean portion was doubled in size. The granary bread was good but it made the breakfast a little bit too dry. More beans would have made it perfect.
