We had a fantastic meal for 28 family members to celebrate my nephew's 30th birthday. The service was quick and it made it a very special day for us all. My nephew is autistic and loves to eat at the restaurant.
The guys are great, always remember me when I go in. The food is lovely, well cooked. Great menu variety and awesome service. Will come again
Incredible service from these guys. Table of 6 all thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience. The standout moment of the evening..... (I'll get to) - I'm a big fan of spicy hot curries, and have endured many Naga Currys from various restaurants. This time I saw on their menu, Chicken Naga Jalfrezi, which I was adamant to order. Arrived beautiful presentation, however this Curry tasted abit too hot for me which surprised me, so sadly I didn't finish it, feeling abit let down... Only for the waiter to feel disappointed and upset that I didn't feel satisfied with my experience. He explained that the usual Naga that I order is different, because this is basically 3 in 1 (Jalfrezi) being included within the Naga paste. So they kindly amended it for free including a rice!!! - and I tasted it front of them and I was left extremely satisfied with the service. Never expected, neither experienced such top service like that. Will definitely return!
We called in here with no recommendation at the end of a day on the beach. All of the staff we're very friendly and the food was plentiful and hot. The prices were good too. I called into the ladies toilets and it could do with a bit of money spending in there to make it feel clean and fresh. It was the only thing that let it down.
Unique building (do mind yr heads though!), great range of dishes, plentiful portions and great value. Service is polite, attentive and occasionally pretty funny! Been coming here fairly often for 18 months and it's our favourite Indian restaurant by far. May the high standards continue. Thank you team!!!
It is always a pleasure to dine at this restaurant. The staff are friendly and attentive and appear to remember guests even if they haven't visited for a long while. The menu is extensive and the food is well priced and very tasty. The tables are set in several small areas which gives a wonderful feeling of intimacy. One word of warning, though. Be careful to mind your head on the very low entrance door.
I met friends for lunch and booked online. It states online that you can have the table for an hour and a half/two hours, but we stayed for three and were not asked to vacate. The food was lovely and the staff were courteous and friendly. It is very bright and cosy inside, and there is an area to sit if you just want a coffee/drink, or to wait for your table. The only thing we didn't like was the 12.5% 'tip' added to the bill. We asked for it to be taken off, which was duly done. Not a fan of restaurants doing this. If I want to leave a tip for good food; atmosphere; service, then I will. We gave our waitress a cash tip in the hope it went to her and her colleagues, and not to management. Would definitely visit again.
Have been using Indian Cottage for years & had a lovely meal there xmas eve but just picked up a takeaway, price of the set menu up to £14.95, very disappointed in the food, very bland, didnt enjoy at all. Think we'll try else where next time. Price up, taste down!!!
Lovely cottage, very low ceilings and really nice. Food was hot, prompt and super tasty. Staff attentive and great with our little loud/jumpy kids. A little chilly in the front of the restaurant - but overall 5* great food, service, price.
