   This is one of Hove‘s best kept secrets, Where locals and regulars return, the fish is exceptionally good quality, Always fresh and they have the option of gluten-free batter too you can dine in or to have a takeaway you can phone up and order it and collect your own order or get a taxi to collect your order. It’s a good old-fashioned fish and chip shop.

   Scammers. Me and my partner bought cheesey chips but was reluctant as it was £8.50. we asked the woman how big the portion size was and she said it was big. It wasn't, it was standard portion that would have cost 4.50 in an average cafe. We also ordered drinks, she told us there where drinks in the fridge, I had a look and they were labelled £1.90. we were charged £3. We were then told it was £3 pounds on the menu but £1.90 in the fridge. When we questioned this on our receipt. we were told by the woman "I gave you the menu, take away is cheaper" no where did it say this or advertised. We were lied to about the size and lied to about the price of drinks. Never have I ever had this kind of service.

   Ridiculously over priced for such a small portion of cheesy chips! I asked the lady if it was a generous size for £8.50 as I was hesitant to spend so much on just 1 portion of chips, and she replied yes but sadly it was just your bog standard size! Also, I ordered 2 cans of Dr pepper for £1.90 like it stated on the fridge but I was charged £3 for EACH can as we dined in! We was not told that dining in would be more expensive! I questioned this to the lady a her response was "I gave you the menu" but I was not made clear that drinks are more expensive yet we still drank out the can! Very poor experience and will not be returning, first and last experience there!

   Had a meal here for some of our travelling party. Friendly greeting from the staff and provided the dining in menu which was a few pounds more per dish. Ordered a kids cod and chips and a seafood basket. Kids meal was fresh and enjoyed. Seafood basket was fine but wouldn't order again and would get a piece of fish. Chips were ok - all freshly cooked and salad provided

   Tried this place after a year of debating due to all the other chip shops in the close vicinity being woeful and wow!! Very surprised chips are great the curry sauce is to die for something I've not found in Brighton & Hove is a good curry sauce until now! It was so good I went back the very next night. And I will be back again that's for sure.

   Best Fish and Chip shop in Sussex, been going here for over 6 years, won’t go anywhere else, family run restaurant and takeaway, good selection of fish and other battered products, good range of sides too. The owners are friendly and polite. I have worked in this industry for many years and had the privilege of working in some of the top Fish and chip shops in the country and this place is up there with them. They know how to cook! The batter is crispy and the chips are always cooked to perfection. If I could rate this place 10 stars I would. Highly recommended.
