Although I'm pleased with the food at kismet on the 13 September (Saturday) I ordered a chicken pasanda which comes with rice and a papadum, a chicken curry,a garlic naan bread, extra curry sauce,an extra papadum and some mango, and an extra palau rice to be delivered.when it arrived I paid the £31-30p in cash.when I opened the bag, It was missing the extra palau rice ,the naan bread and the mango.i phoned kismet and was told that the food that was missing would be delivered, it never was. I know mistakes can be made but to be told the missing items would be delivered and then not delivered says it all.we waited for over a hour and a half and decided to eat what we had, after putting it in the microwave.we didn't eat the extra curry sauce,as there was no naan to dip into it and didn't eat the papadums as there wasn't mango to go with it.. so we ended up with one chicken pasanda, one chicken curry and one rice between the two of us ,at the cost of £31-30p.as I've already said mistakes happen but why was I told the rest would be delivered when it wasn't. If I order there again ,I will check the contents on the doorstep before I pay . They still owe me about a tenner, bearing I couldn't have the curry sauce because I had no naan and didn't have the papadums because of no mango and also the missing rice.i was told the missing items would be delivered and they wasn't.

Food was delicious and piping hot on arrival. No delays in delivering. Meat portions in the curries very generous. Staff also helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing experience, the brothers running it are so lovely, friendly and down to earth, remembering your last order everytime you go back, and the food is some of the best takeaway I’ve had in Brighton! Fresh and tasty food, a massive step up from most others I’ve tried. Couldn’t recommend any higher!!

Having travelled a fair distance to sample the no 1 in Brighton we were completely underwhelmed. The service was decidedly average with inexperienced staff. The food was OK but not exceptional in any way. There was very little ambience unless you particularly like the old fashioned pub vibe. Admittedly it was a Monday evening so maybe it was not what it might be at the weekends. Prices were not inexpensive. Parking is not available anywhere nearby except you use a meter which adds to the overall cost of the meal. The staff were made aware that I was struggling to sort out the paybyphone app and made no attempt to help. That this rates higher than far superior establishments in Brighton really needs to be addressed. In my opinion it is not deserving of the no1 spot but the locals really seem to like it. We will not return.

Excellent!! Had food to take out + it's the best Indian food weve ever had. Nice + hot, packaged well + the food was fantastic - would highly recommend. Staff very friendly + obliging + our food was ready to be collected in 25 mins. Lots of meat, sauce creamy (Korma) + spicy (Tikka Masala) + Peshwari Naam excellent. Will definitely use them again.

Had a lamb bhuna and Pilau rice last Friday, tried this place out as I had moved in just down the road, was extremely tasty and as someone who lived next to brick lane in London for 25 years, this place smashes them out of the water. Everyone was very friendly too!
