My dad and I noticed this place as we were passing in George Street and we decided to give it a go and we loved it. The decor is simple but pleasant and comfortable. We were greeted and served by the manager Titu, who was a wonderful host. Friendly, polite and quick with our food. He was very kind to us and even threw in a free nan when we quickly finished the first one. I tried the Chicken Balti and I think my Dad had the Chicken Korai. The food was fantastic, succulent and tasty. We were served poppadoms to start and 4 dips which were very pleasant too. We will definitely being going back there and will get takeaway from them too. They also do home delivery which is handy. It's only been open a few weeks so I highly recommend you check this place out as its new but hidden gem.

So, I've been wanting to try this cafe for months, and today I went for a snack and a coffee. I loved it! I want to go back, and soon! I got a sandwich for my meal.

Went to Coppa Club for a light lunch with a friend. It was very nice, quite quiet but we were able to chat and have an uninterrupted catch up. Nice coffee, bottle of tap water and tasty nibbles. So we decided to go with a group of friends for a pre-Christmas lunch. What a palarva! Because there was going to be six of us, the booking couldn't be taken in Coppa Club (even though it's only a few minutes away from our office). We had to book online: the pages of terms and conditions were unbelievable. We were expected to leave £10 per person deposit with card details and pre-order. By the time we had chosen our menus and clicked to agree the terms and conditions, the online system had timed us out and cancelled our reservation! Needless to say, they've lost that booking and our future custom.

Having travelled a fair distance to sample the no 1 in Brighton we were completely underwhelmed. The service was decidedly average with inexperienced staff. The food was OK but not exceptional in any way. There was very little ambience unless you particularly like the old fashioned pub vibe. Admittedly it was a Monday evening so maybe it was not what it might be at the weekends. Prices were not inexpensive. Parking is not available anywhere nearby except you use a meter which adds to the overall cost of the meal. The staff were made aware that I was struggling to sort out the paybyphone app and made no attempt to help. That this rates higher than far superior establishments in Brighton really needs to be addressed. In my opinion it is not deserving of the no1 spot but the locals really seem to like it. We will not return.
