   Had a wonderful Sunday lunch last week. It was amazing! Great service by a attentive and very smiley waitress which is always a nice touch nowadays. The dishes were all so unique and flavoursome. Lots to choose from and the best food we have eaten in Brighton (Hove) for a very long time. We tried the Turkish wine and Beer which was delicious and great value. We were even tempted to a selection of desserts which my husband and I never do....delicious! Followed by a authentic Turkish coffee. The actual restaurant is so beautiful. We will be back!

   Visited late night and they still served us, the server (young lad) was so friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and the chef was lovely. Very clean place. Huge portions for a very good price! We will be back to hove for this food

   We had a wonderful time here! The service was incredibly friendly – truly kind-hearted people who made us feel so welcome. They were especially amazing with our little daughter Hannah, which meant a lot to us. The food was absolutely delicious. By far the best place in Brighton!

   I visited this restaurant with my sister and overall it was a pleasant experience. The atmosphere was serene, making it easy to have a good conversation without too much background noise. The staff were friendly and attentive, even offering us a complimentary salad with some hummus and bread before we placed our order, which was a thoughtful touch. We decided to try two different chicken dishes along with extra hummus, and while the food was tasty, I did expect slightly larger portions given the price point. Because of this, I felt the value for money could have been better. Still, the service and ambience made up for it to some extent. Would I return? Possibly, though I’d probably explore other options first.

   We happened by to the Mekan Grill after a long walk down the beach. We decided to have lunch purely based on the atmosphere - not even a Google check! The menu had many of our favorite dishes and the wait staff was very welcoming. We ordered some appetizers and the mixed grill. The bread was fresh and warm. The appetizers were fresh and really flavorful. We had an extra serving of bread to finish off the appetizers. When the mixed grill arrived we were nearly full. However one bite of the lamb cubes and I was starving! The mixed grill was seasoned well and not overcooked. Great food and a wonderful experience.

   Beautiful gorgeous place, perfect lightening to make it welcoming and great for a date night. Food is full of flavours, well presented with some courtesy pita bread or salad on the side. Very friendly staff. Overall a great experience that I totally recommend. Definitely going back again to continue exploring the menu!

   Best grill in town ! Food was delicious, meat was cooked to perfection portion size was plentiful , the baklava dessert was amazing, tasteful and cool decor with a great ambience ,staff was friendly and attentive and provided a great service , definitely a return visit and highly recommended.

   Problems: we waited literally for a record 1.5 hours. The service is terrible but understandable- only two waitresses serving around 100 customers. The kitchen is clearly short of stuff, but the biggest problem is the management. When the orders are clearly beyond the capacity of the kitchen, they should do something or tell the customers a realistic waiting time, but they did not. The waitresses forgot about things we asked for (like bread); we have to ask for things that should automatically be on the table (like sauces). During such a long wait, there was never a sorry to make us feel better (the waitress originally said that it will take ‘more than 30 mins’) But again, they are short of stuff so we do feel sympathetic for the stuff who are working extra workloads. What we appreciate: the charcoal grilled food was delicious indeed. The meat was fatty and flavourful. We ordered the biggest sharing platter for 6 people and cannot finish. The quantity was good.

   First time to try Turkish cuisine. Surprisingly that suits our taste. Foods, including bread are prepared on the charcoal grill stove, serve hot, fresh and delicious. Highly recommend daily soup and lamb chops.
