   Had my wedding here back in March and couldn't of wanted my day to go any better than it did, the Staff really put effort and time in the the little details to make my day amazing, we now go here a lot for food and won't go anywhere else, from the steak to the sunday dinner always spot on! Fab place, super friendly and welcoming.

   We had our wedding here in April. Fantastic cosy venue for your special day. Staff are fantastic. Room was perfectly decorated for the ceremony and the meal. Everyone complimented the food. Not a crumb remained. Having the exclusive option is great. We had a blast. So did our guests. Special mention to Lisa and Clive. Amazing team. Thank you

   Absolutely stunning food, freshly cooked and served boiling hot. We had the Wednesday pie, mash and minted mushy peas special. Great value for money. Staff are very friendly. Relaxed homely atmosphere with a welcoming real log fire. We have eaten here many times, food is always excellent quality and fantastic portions. We are happy to spend an evening here with our family.

   We held our engagement party at the Celtic Lodge, and it was perfect! The gorgeous venue created a beautiful atmosphere, and the staff went above and beyond—nothing was too much trouble. They were incredibly accommodating, making our night unforgettable. Highly recommend!

   We had our wedding in Celtic lodge on 26/10/2024. The staff and owner were amazing. They set up everything to perfection. Everything was well planed and thought out even down to the fine details I couldn’t have asked for anything else. Nothing was to of an ask. I highly recommend doing a wedding here they are spectacular. We have also been going regularly just for food and we’ve never had a bad meal from there. Highly recommend going for food.

   Staff were so attentive from the moment we walked in. Considering we ordered a 42oz steak to share , it came out relatively quickly. Not only that but it was absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was so tasty and seasoned to perfection. This is the second time we’ve been in a month and it’s been faultless. Would definitely recommend trying if you haven’t already. 10/10.

   Lovely food but not very hot,Woz asked 10 mins after my steak Woz served did I want any sauce with it,then came out with about 6 tbls of peppercorn sauce between 3 of us who had the same meal,apart from that food Woz nice

   Came on the recommendation of a friend and happily, I'm still talking to her. The food was abundant and majority well cooked. The top slice of my turkey had clearly been left under the hot light and the top part was flambéd. I removed about half an inch of it and to be fair the rest was perfect as the gravy had shielded it. The other slices and beef underneath was perfectly cooked, tender, and there was plenty of it. We had more veg than even my human dustbin children could ever have finished. It was well prepared also, and flavourful. We had mash, peas, cabbage, swede, and two jugs of gravy. Why only 4 stars then? Cleanliness and health risk. My wrapped cutlery was dirty with what looked like beef stock cube of all things. Our glasses were dirty, and not just smeared from the washer. There were bits of something all over them. Another table was making the same complaint and were told it was wear and tear. It's not, they were dirty, you can't get wear and tear off with a napkin....as I did. We didn't bother complaining given we could hear the denial to the other table, I just cleaned them myself. I also ordered full fat drinks, but we were served diet pepsi. The server replaced the offending drink without issue but my sweetener intolerant son had already drunk half. She claimed she thought we'd said diet pepsi. I'm not sure how you mishear 5 cokes as 5 diet pepsi but there we go. His learning disabilities means he can't tell us that isn't Coke and I didn't think to check. It was only on drinking mine I realised the mistake. This isn't a huge issue for us as it's only an intolerance not an allergy, however if you have allergies I'd double check your order here. Overall a good experience but someone really needs to check the filter in the dishwasher and reiterate the importance of getting orders correct.

   Not the cleanest of places,food was average tbh. The ladies toilets could've done with a good clean & there was no toilet roll. The waitresses were run off their feet,could have done with more. Won't be going back sorry
