This place is real hit and miss. Culturally they clash with the English people as they come across as very rude and dismissive. Sometimes the coffee is stunning and sometimes it sucks. They just need to smile more and speak. Used to be run by a brilliant Italian man, now it’s two often moody women. Have stopped going which is a shame as I used to love it.

Lavazza is one of my favourite coffee brands and I was very happy to finally find good coffee in UK since I almost gave up on coffee after several disappointments. Also tried several cakes and they were all tasty. I keep returning every time I visit Brighton. Location is great and staff is friendly.

Unfortunately after buying few different deserts have to leave 1 star. Everything I bought was at least 4 -5 days old and tasted horrible. Why would you sell that??? Sell fresh for the super high prices that you charge . Looks good but can't tell till you try it.. Shame. I was looking forward to it... Won't be coming back.

Rarely leave reviews, but this was a crap experience for the £4.50 I spent and the 10ish minutes I was there. All I ordered was an ice coffee with milk. I was given a warm pint glass (think straight out of the dish washer) with a couple of cubes of ice, filled to the top with coffee and water, no milk. Went back to ask for milk and some more ice to cool it down, and maybe they thought I insulted their gran, but they weren’t happy I guess. The lady then opened an ice cream tub full of ice, and without washing her hands (she was using the till a moment before) picked up a couple of cubes and stuck them in the glass. Anyway, ended up leaving it and going to a different coffee place. One of the first times I support Starbucks.

The staff was super rude, I purchased two desserts and when it came time to pay the staff handed me the card reader without the payment screen showing and rushed me to complete the transaction. Of course, since she hadn’t entered the amount and pressed enter, my Apple Pay didn’t work. Instead of assisting politely, she tapped the machine with her fingernail, pointed at the screen, and spoke in a commanding tone, as if I were doing something wrong. The desserts are on the pricey side but quite sweet and enjoyable unfortunately, the staff’s attitude was anything but sweet

This is my favourite place in brighton to go for coffee, just so tasty, and the soup is so delicious and nutritious, as are the other dishes I've had.

Being an Italian café, I thought they'd do a great coffee. Well I was very wrong, they had no idea how to make a good coffee. Asked for a cortado, got a weak very milky coffee. Asked them to re do it and they brought it back with added water and milk. An Italian café should be able to make a decent cortado.

Great cafe. I get my morning coffee here before work as it's one of the few that opens at 7 in winter. Lovely staff and reasonably priced.
