I've been visiting the Boars for a while now and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. The food is tasty and plentiful as well as consistent. Service is also friendly and attentive. An all round good place to visit.

Discovered this amazing restaurant while searching on Google Maps. The food and service was amazing. We were meeting up with family in that area for a meal, total party 5 plus an infant. Plenty room between tables. The portion sizes were just right and we had room for a pudding. Pure quality, cooked and presented well. I signed up for the email updates. They do a special Tuesday menu for lunchtimes and evenings for only £12! They have two restaurant areas, one being recently refurbished with an amazing painted floral ceiling, the other which is equally good and is dog friendly. They also have outdoor seating. Small car park to the front, we managed to get parked no problem on the lane. I ordered roast duck and my husband had the rump steak, followed by Sticky Toffee Pudding and ice cream. Has to be one of the best meals we have had. We will definately be back.

This has to be one of the nicest places to go if you want a really nice country pub meal. Prices are really reasonable and the food is absolutely first class. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Cannot recommend it enough

One of the best meals we’ve had in the UK. We loved the food (the stuffed pumpkin was incredible), there was one lady serving food & drinks and she was really lovely & prompt. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience here and hope to come back again!!

Lovely gem of a restaurant. We stopped at The Boars by chance while looking for somewhere to eat. We arrived late on Saturday afternoon so there was barely anyone. The food we ordered was very nicely presented and tasted delicious. I would highly recommend it.

Good experience. Attentive waiting staff! The beef burger was very tasty. It had a lot going on and the jam and mustard sauces inside were quite punchy. Roast beef was nice.

Lovely old public house. Dog friendly. Staff also very friendly. Great menu with quality products. We loved the Asian Slaw salad with our Halloumi starter.

Certainly not local to me personally but will be more than happy to make the journey in the future. Lovely, warm, engaging welcome matched only by the food. Camembert was a joy. As was the setting. Already planning the next visit.

A very pleasant pub with warm surroundings. A decent menu but beware the burgers are big for kids so you can ask for smaller ones. The camembert was enjoyed by all and they have a selection of non alcoholic cocktails which were exciting and tasty. If I had one small wish it was that the mains menu could have been a little more adventurous but I appreciate it's difficult to cater for all tastes. The starters looked great. The staff were amazingly helpful and tried really hard to make our visit enjoyable.
