It is hard to judge 'fast food' so I have given five stars , I gobbled it down with no complaints,so why not ? As for my menu choice,it was the House Curry and an egg fried rice.Lots of meat.There was a manic dash to give me fortune cookies as I was leaving, otherwise there was very little personal interaction with the staff.The cost was £14.00 in total. The food was still lovely and warm after my bus ride back to the pretty postcard of Whitehawk.
First time ordering from Happy Family, can confidently say this will be my new go to! Every other Chinese I've tried in Brighton is bland and boring. Food arrived piping hot, earlier than the scheduled delivery time.It is not oily and has great taste and spice levels. Singapore fried rice was perfect, flavorful and spicy but not too overpowering. The BEST thing was the Capital Spare Ribs, they're absolutely delicious and fall off the bone. Curry sauce is thick and the crunchy vegetable spring rolls are addictive. I got prawn crackers for free which is a lovely touch. Highly recommend!! My only fault is that they open late so I can't get something during my lunch break.
Ordered my usual food at this place. Never had any problems Dished up the food for my two daughters then mine. Had about 3 mouthfuls until I found a cooked snail in my food. They are trying to say I put the snail in my own food to try to get a full refund / another load of the food for free. I am sickened to the thought of a snail being in my food, had to throw the whole thing away! Absolutely disgusting
BEST CHINESE AND BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I called them up and didn’t know what some of the menu items tasted like. The team explained the taste for me before I ordered. They even changed the item because I like battered chicken and the chef did it for me especially how I liked it. Very very friendly and good people. I have ordered many times from them and it is very very good food and service. Fast delivery also and Alot of vegetarian options aswell.
A group of 7 of us ordered for Valentine’s Day. The delivery was quick and food was nice and hot. Yummy! Would definitely recommend.

Been using this takeaway for years now... went on Saturday not best pleased... prices gone up yet again, got takeaway home, literally live across the road and food was stone cold... ordered "Chinese chips" and got small, thin cheap frozen things that could hardly pass for a "Chinese chip"... anyone would think it was different people running it????
Chose happy family for our New Years Eve feast and was not disappointed! Perfect chicken balls, delicious ious crispy beef, amazing lemon chicken... probably tye best Chinese takeaway I have ever had.
