Been coming here for over a year and have noticed over the past few months that the atmosphere is more lively and friendly. Every member of staff smiles, chats and makes an effort to remember our order for next round! Amanda, the general manager regularly walks round to chat with everyone and is keen to ensure all is well. We have witnessed her handling a very violent and frightening situation involving multiple males and they did not phase her one bit. We feel reassured that she is able to run the pub efficiently and keep it a safe and welcoming environment where families and dogs are more than welcome. Thanks for all your efforts Amanda they are much appreciated.

Fantastic service as ever. The food was amazing, all 5 at our table loved the fish and chips, the sausage and mash and the tapas plates. Great value for money and very tasty. Drinks service at the bar is top notch and I cannot think of another pub locally I would suggest to go to. First Class!

Very friendly and accommodating staff. One of our guests is disabled and they had no problem changing our table to one more suitable for her needs. Our guests visit us regularly and we always book the King Will.

We recently held our club's AGM here and the staff could not have been more accommodating. They kindly allowed us to use a quiet corner, which was ideal for our meeting and discussions. Beyond the great service, the quality was top-notch: the beer was excellent, and the food we ordered for the group was very well received by everyone present. We would definitely recommend this spot, especially if you need a comfortable and accommodating venue for a small group or meeting.

Went for Saturday morning breakfast as fancied a bit of a treat, and we were not disappointed. Breakfast choice was ample and can definitely recommend the sausages and hash browns! (YUM). Service was rapid and only reason for scoring the atmosphere 4/5 was that the music could have been more up beat than what we heard at the time we were there (but still good to have the background music). Highly recommend.

Friendly staff and very helpful, I couldn't chose what red wine I wanted so I let the staff chose and they had very good taste in red wine. Both my dogs were welcomed. Great place with good vibes and brilliant staff.

Went on Saturday night for food and drinks. The pork belly was lovely and the fish and chips was delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive We will definitely pop back in one day

Went for a drink in the King William just before Christmas, then booked a meal for the following day. The new manager had only just started. We mentioned we'd been told how they never had your first or even second choice of food, and he said they had everything in stock. So we booked and had an enjoyable meal. We have just returned from having Sunday lunch, it was very tasty and nicely presented. So will definitely return again. Nice too to support our struggling hospitality sector too.

This country pub is nice and cosy. I popped up there randomly searching for an evening meal. I had bangers and mash and also a glass of wine. It was Thursday evening and the place was not too busy but I've been sat next to a radiator and considering low temperature outside I've known that I'm going to enjoy. And my... I have had! Don't expect special luxury but you can count on warm meal, a pint and a welcome hospitality.

Food is absolutely poor and the manager Amy is absolutely rude and un approachable with issues with service. Just avoid at all costs. Absolutely appalling. Poor choice of beer on tap and just a let down. once was a great pub. Bring back Joe and Andy. Was great when they run it.
