It was our first visit with friends. The young lady waitress was very attentive and friendly. Our meal was nice, although we all said that we would have preffered a more traditional Christmas dinner. But it was very nice & cooked well. The conservatory had a nice feeling, but rather bright if you wanted more of an intimate dinner for two.

Service was ok in general, this isn't about the service. This is about the food. I ordered a ceasar salad, which was supposed to be cos lettuce, dressing, croutons and parmesan cheese. There weren't any croutons, and when I mentioned this I was informed from the kitchen that the onion bits sprinkled over the top were the croutons? How stupid does he think the general public are? Then the cos lettuce was actually iceberg lettuce. The cheapest of lettuces. This bowl cost me £10. Luckily the waiting staff refunded me as soon as I questioned it, but really unimpressed. The menu here used to be really good, but there was nothing of any interest on there. It was quite quiet too, for a Saturday, so word is obviously getting round!

Hands down the best burger in Bedfordshire and by far the best burger I have ever eaten! Service was great, very friendly staff and holds a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be back for more!

We came in for a lunchtime meal and were surprised to find only one other customer there. I ordered the fish and chips, and was disappointed to see the fish was about half the size it used to be. While the tartar sauce was very good and the mushy peas were tasty, the small portion meant I didn’t feel full after the meal. The experience was further let down by the state of the toilets — they were unclean, with visible stains and overflowing bins, which left a bad impression overall.

First time trying. Very late minute booking, exceptionally friendly waitress who said she would squeeze us in, got the last table! Service exemplary initially, but as it got later was hard to get hold of someone. Towards the end of the meal I waited 30 mins for a drink, which never came so settled the bill by walking up to bar ( couldn't flag anyone down in restaurant area). Food good, will go again to try some other items - ribs particularly were delicious.

We enjoyed a really good meal at The Legstraps in Wootton on 14 February with a bottle of wine and apero. The food was excellent and the staff helpful. We treated ourselves to the côte de boeuf for two, fabulous. The chef helpfully cut it up at the table when we asked for a bigger knife. Starter - a shared fish platter - also excellent, as were our desserts. Worth the drive and the price - you can easily spend as much on an inferior meal elsewhere.

I was attracted by the good review so we chosed this pub. It is very disappointing and I feel obligated to tell others of our experience of the food. The service is good though. The soup of the day was extremely extremely salty. I like to urge the chef/cook to try it himself! The skin of the seabass was soft and not crispy at all. He could have torched it if he cares, instead of serving it like that. I did not eat the slimmy skin. The grilled mediterranean vegetables should be fine except a piece of onion nearest to the outer skin was served and I had no choice but to push it out. I do not undertand why the cook put lots of cress on everything when it does not serve any purpose and are of no taste at all.

Excellent food. Perfect portions. Masses of gluten free options. Gorgeous vegan ice-cream and dessert wine. I'd have liked a few more options on a Sunday, (I'm not that much of a Sunday roast fan, but it was good food, all the same). I'm not vegan, but was trying to avoid saturated fats.
