Spot on! Worth the drive on a cold wet evening. There were four of us, booked of an early dinner that really did not disappoint. The service was very good and the food (main issue) was superb. Wexford mushrooms, croquettes and black pudding for starters; duck, beef shin ragu (unctuous) and parmigiana that was to die for. Definitely a big cut above the usual pub grub and the "gastropub" offerings. One to return to and we will. Thanks

There’s levels to this pub. The overall customer experience is exquisite, pro active, they truly care about delivering top service, ambiance, and my highlight - the food. The chef Shell elevates every dish to very high standards, to the point I’ve been back 3 times in a week because it’s worth every penny. Sharing a pic of the fish and chips, so You understand what I mean by levels.

On what must have the wettest night of the year we decided to keep our reservation here and so glad we did. We were surprised at a village pub having such a varied menu. After a bread and olives started we both opted for meals from the Mediterranean menu although choices on the main menu really whetted our appetite with so many choices of varieties of game (next time). Service was excellent and we really enjoyed our food. You certainly get value for money-portions were very large and hubby asked to bring half of his home for supper. Our first time here but not our last.

Found this place by chance and had a lovely roast dinner! Counted 11 different vegetables. Service was really friendly and the surroundings were interesting g talking points. Will visit again!

Loved the baked Camembert for a starter...you get a generous amount of bread to dip into the cheese. Went for the beef roast... the meat was tender, feel like it could of had a bit more flavour to it... the yorkshire was dry, didnt end up eating it. Generous portion size otherwise...service was great. We had a glass of red which wasn't great and they allowed us to swap them over to another. Parking is very limited.

Honestly. The best food, the BEST service, the best atmosphere....me and my husband came here for some 1 on 1 time on new years eve before getting the kids and it was just the best. This is now on our lunch or dinner list! Just amazing. Please visit...you won't be dissapointed

The BEST roast dinner I have ever had, and the chocolate orange brownie was a slice of pure heaven. A beautiful place, with friendly and smiley staff. Will recommend highly to everyone.

Fantastic pub with the most amazing Sunday roast. Other meals looked great too, but I was ecstatic about my roast beef and trimmings. Happened by this place, and I’m glad I did. The parking lot is small, and so is the restaurant - however, they do have a lovely wee garden when the weather cooperates. The decor is what you expect, but the coziness of this pub makes it a true gem. I will be back when I’m back in the region.
