   Hired the top floor for a party we were appalled and shocked by the service that we received. Firstly, our booking was from 8pm-2am. We were told we could arrive at 7 to decorate, however, when we arrived there were people still eating their dinner till 8:15! Our guests were arriving as people were eating! Then they had to clean the tables etc..This was an embarrassment and we couldn’t decorate. Secondly the bar staff were completely inappropriate. I complained about the music system kept switching songs and not playing ours then the man behind the bar said “if you don’t like the system then you should of got a DJ in the first place”, completely unprofessional! He was rude, dismissive and arrogant. Then I had a few complaints from our guests saying that the people behind the bar were rude and unprofessional. they didn’t have certain alcohol behind the bar upstairs (Guinness or Bacardi)so my guest asked for it and the women behind the bar said “if you want it you have to go get it yourself! “ when this was to one of my older relatives who is nearly 80! She had to go to the bar downstairs to get her drinks x2 flights of stairs to get her drinks ! I then had another 3 complaints about bar staff being rude. Would never recommend this place to anyone completely unprofessional. No accountability or apology from anyone.

   Had my 40th birthday party here and it was fantastic. Deposit and minimum spend was reasonable to use the upstairs space. The food was amazing and set up was already done before we arrive. Bar staff were fab and we just played our own music which meant it really felt like we had our own DJ. As old house is open until 2am we didn't feel rushed and the night ended naturally which again made the experience flawless. I would highly recommend!

   Went to The Old House for the first time on Mother's Day, had the roasted trio which was amazing! Followed by the brownie, and others had the sponge cake. The presentation of all of the food was great, the staff were all very helpful and attentive. Someone in the group was gluten free, the team were very knowledgeable and ensured her requirements were accommodated for. Overall a lovely experience, and would recommend a visit, especially for a Sunday roast!

   Best roast dinner i have had in a long time!! Came here with mum for mother’s day and was treated so well, no faults at all!! Food, service and decoration was amazing. Will definitely be back. 10000% recommend.

   Sunday roast beautiful as always. We had to wait for a bit but service was very apologetic and food is beautiful. Definitely worth waiting for. Pretty afford for that kind of meal. We had starter between us, chicken and beef roast and 2 soft drinks and it came up to just under £50. Can't recommend enough.

   Great decor and very friendly and attentive staff, super service even when it's busy. Friday night atmosphere was good. Area towards the back garden has plenty of seating. However, it is extremely expensive, two pints of beer gives little change from £15.

   We visit this pub usually on a Saturday evening for a couple of drinks, before we go to a restaurant. The staff are always very friendly and service is usually quite quick even when it's busy. The atmosphere is always really good with a nice mix of clientele. However this comes at a cost, literally. The prices are extremely high. For a pint of Amstel and a medium white wine It's £13.40. One of the most, if not the most expensive in the town. Hence why we only have a couple of drinks per visit.

   Beautiful Restaurant. We were there last night for a work dinner booked for 7pm. The cocktails were delicious! The staff was attentive too! It was very quiet (it was a Thursday night), food was good. The only downer was that they close at 9pm Monday - Thursday I believe, but their website said 11pm, so we did feel like we had to be rushed out when we were done. Overall it was nice.

   Really nice decor and ambiance..Amazing food and super friendly staff.. You must try the bourguignon, a new edition to the menu. Will be heading back soon just for this.. Delicious!
