Faultless service from their staff, definitely in the top 5% for table service. Warm and friendly pub atmosphere. I'd score the food higher if the rice was a little moister and less clumpy, the salmon in sweet chilli was very good, a hit of heat with great flavour.

Had a fantastic meal at Royal Oak - great value and really lovely food. We had the lasagne which was absolutely incredible, and a burger which was also really good. Lovely chips too. Great service - would highly recommend!

We enjoyed everything about our visit to the Royal Oak. The food was excellent could not fault it, we both had the steak and mushroom pie which was not only presented well but tasted gorgeous, came with lovely cooked chips which were crispy, also had veg. For dessert we both had warm fudge cake with ice cream delicious! 2 courses for 14:50 very reasonable prices for excellent food. Great value for your money. Will definitely be returning, highly recommend.

Staff are welcoming and friendly, the menu caters for allergies and there is a wide variety of dishes on offer. The pub itself has a lot of seating both indoors and out and dogs are welcome. Food is of a traditional English nature with some world over favourites such as Kofteh. Portion sizes are generous and the price is reasonable for the area. Parking is to the rear as the front is a busy street and somewhat narrow in places.

Very good little gem. Visited today for dinner, and greatly surprised of the quality of the pub. Inside it is absolutely spotless clean, atmosphere very cosy, and staff friendly. Food was 9/10 and service also, this due to not being double checked after we had our mains, and the veggies were microwaved and not fully cooked. Weβve noticed all the food comes on a plate, but chips and veggies separate which is a new thing and we couldnβt decide weather is working or not, as we had to share a bowl of chipβs between us. I totally recommend the pate, chicken goujons, and the pie for the main. The pie was cooked perfectly, and the beef was very very tasty and soft. Puddings 9/10, again, custard seemed to be microwaved and had some lumps inside and a jelly texture, but only few places are doing dessert in the house nowadays so its totally understandable. Weβll definitely be back as it was a worthy experience. Very good prices for food but also for the drinks considering the current markets. Thank you.

On a visit to family in Stoke decided to take them out for a nice meal. I would advise booking in advance. I booked the table for 8.15 . Only time available for a table for 8 . The staff were friendly and polite and helpful. The food was excellent also very good prices. Plus they have a wonderful selection of drinks. Will definitely be going back next time I'm in Stoke.

Lovely staff. Service quick, even though it was busy. One roast beef, one chicken and two lamb. Food hot, and good selection of veg served separately. Puddings to die for especially bread and butter pud, cheesecake and trifle. Good traditional Sunday lunch for very reasonable price. Would recommend to anyone.

Was very pleasantly surprised by the food here, while the menu is quite small the food is delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive but don't hassle you. If you want traditional pub grub that's home cooked I can't recommend this place ebough

A very welcoming pub with ample parking. Our meals were lovely, drinks refreshing and desert was just divine. The waiting on staff were very friendly and super efficient. The prices were reasonable and the service was quick. The premises were clean and the dining room we were in felt cosy. If I really had to find one Improvement I would of liked more vegetarian options. I cannot wait to return.
