We booked a meal for Christmas Eve lste afternoon. I have to say the service and food was excellent. There were 5 if us plus a 10 moth old and all of us all agreed the food was superb , even our 10 month old grandson was very happy with eating a selection of our food. The dinning room was very nice and the staff all though busy were very attentive. Well done to all the staff.

We stayed at the three horseshoes from Monday 8th December to Wednesday 10th December, as a celebration of our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We'd booked the Blissful Spa package, plus extra to cover our stay. The room. We booked was Room 204... described as a"Superior King Size Room". When we opened the door of our room we were so disappointed. The furniture was 80's and dated, dark brown , very tired looking with quite a few scratches. Curtains dark brown, carpet dark brown. This was not superior. The bed was however very comfortable, good pillows. The bathroom met with no complaints from us at all... excellent facilities, whirlpool bath, powerful shower, lovely towels and toiletries. We noticed as we walked down the nearby corridor that a couple of the other rooms were far better although classed as "classic"... they were bright, with light good quality wood furniture and had a far superior look. We obviously paid a premium for our room...we can only hope they use the extra money to update the furniture. The spa and treatments we had were excellent, and passed a lovely relaxing day yesterday enjoying our anniversary there. The food in the restaurant is extremely good, and we thanked the chef this morning who was really "chuffed" . All in all we wholly recommend The Three Horseshoes...just steer clear of Room 204 until hopefully it has been updated and made more welcoming!

Visited here for a spa day to celebrate my birthday. The spa is very small so we only booked for a 4 hour session, worrying we might get bored. However, the time absolutely flew by and we wished we had longer! We had the mill wheel back massage, which was excellent. We also booked in for afternoon tea, which was delicious and very generous portions. Would definitely recommend.

Don’t waste your money on the spa. We were gifted an overnight stay (dinner, bed and breakfast) with spa access and mud rasul treatment via Virgin Experiences. We were given robes but no flip flops on arrival to the spa. The “spa” consists of an outdoor hot tub (which was full the whole time we were in the spa so couldn’t use), two saunas, a cold plunge pool, one toilet and a small changing room. There were far too many people for the amount of space/facilities available so it wasn’t relaxing at all having to constantly rotate around each facility if/when there was space. The mud rasul room was broken so we were also unable to use this even though it should have been included in our package. We booked a full body bamboo massage at check out time the following morning which was great, no complaints there. If you’re looking for a spa break there are much better options available. I asked to speak to the manager on check out who offered a rasul voucher for us to return and use (we live two hours away so wouldn’t return just for this) and also refused to refund the rasul treatment stating that as we booked through a third party it was already heavily discounted. In spite of this, I still expect to get what should have been included, her attitude was poor. The rooms are clean, comfortable though relatively basic. The TV didn’t work due to poor signal which was frustrating. The food was very enjoyable with a varied menu and generous portions. Staff were pleasant and helpful for the most part. Wouldn’t return or recommend unfortunately.

Worst spa I have ever been to and will probably ever go to! Overnight stay with hot tub is an absolute waste of £400. The Spa has what is basically two small Saunas and a plunge pool. The ‘warm tub’ not an hot tub at all outside is useless, I’ve had warmer baths. It is not covered either in case the weather is bad. It wasn’t made clear about the spa booking times. We had the overnight stay and were booked in the spa the next day. We couldn’t use the spa when we arrived. We got told there is a hot tub with our room. This hot tub is better but again it is not covered at all in case the weather is bad. We then had to check out at 11:00 the next day. When we asked about the spa and what we were meant to do for nearly three hours (we checked out before 11:00 because we had breakfast and were ready). We got told that we might have gone on a walk or something like that. 50mph winds and raining… no offer for early access to the spa, late checkout or even a very small gesture. I wouldn’t even return just to go to the restaurant (which was actually nice) because I am that disappointed. Awful setup. Awful booking. Awful service. Wouldn’t mind as much if you could say that it is a small spa out the way but it still charges big spa prices!!! Would not recommend to anyone! Go anywhere else, please. The spa section in my gym is better than here.

We booked this on the winter deals package and we were very impressed. From the point of check in, very welcoming staff, lovely room, clean, well furnished with top quality towels and excellent shower. Super views of the Roach. Staff very welcoming in bar area and restaurant nothing too much trouble. Food excellent as was the service. Top quality breakfast, lovely to have oatcakes available too. Plenty of choice to set you up for the day ahead. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Me and my husband booked a 1night spa & hot tub break for my birthday. Our room was really comfy and warm, we had our own hot tub outside which was lovely. Great nights sleep as its lovely and quite. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious. The next day we had a lovely experience in the spa and beauty salon. I would definitely recommend here.

My partner: Lynn and I dropped in for lunch with our dog: Daisy. What a lovely pub! Great food, excellent ales and such a warm welcome. Staff courteous and kind. A great experience for us all. Several couples came in for their meals whilst we were there and it was nice to see the gracious greetings given to all. Lynn has been here twice previously, for enjoyable Spa Days and really rates the service. My family stay at The Three Horseshoes for our Clan Gatherings, so the bedrooms must be good. See for yourselves if you are passing, or make a special trip - you will not be disappointed!

Very friendly welcome. Super, tasty food which was excellent value. We had the Senior Citizen's roast deal. It was described as a small portion with a desert. If that was small, I was pleased I hadn't had the regular! Every part of the meal was delicious. Just a pity it is an hour's drive from home! Beautiful decor throughout. Really want to go again soon.

What a great place , welcoming, friendly staff, lovely rooms and very clean. Food in the restaurant was very good and a decent amount. I am a big eater and I wasn't hungry afterwards. My only issue was the speed in which they served. Very quick to take your plate away. I was still chewing my last mouthful and my plate was taken before I has time to swallow. That is my only criticism. The spa was excellent and a great experience. Favourite bit was the stone bath.
